El presente artículo permite evaluar la viabilidad de un acuerdo de intercambio intersectorial entre Australia y Colombia desde el marco del desarrollo sustentable, comparando los indicadores económicos suministrados por el Banco Mundial desde los años noventa hasta el año 2015, con el fin de determinar la viabilidad de un intercambio intersectorial. La metodología utilizada, responde a una investigación de tipo descriptiva documental, con diseño no experimental. Para la técnica, se estableció la revisión documental del Atlas de la Complejidad Económica. Se determinó la importancia de que prevalezca la sinergia entre los factores económicos y el desarrollo sustentable para los acuerdos de intercambio intersectorial. En consecuencia, se requiere alcanzar una estructura de sostenibilidad por lo que se definen indicadores económicos sustentables de alcance entre los dos países ; The present work is aimed to examine the feasibility of the inter-sectoral exchange agreement between Australia and Colombia from a framework of sustainable development by comparing the economic indicators provided by the World Bank from 1990 to 2015, in order to determine the viability of the intersectoral exchange. The methodology used in this research work was focused on a descriptive documentary research, with a non-experimental design techniques by applying a documentary revision of the Atlas of Economic Complexity-. Furthermore it was determined the importance of the prevalence of synergy between economic factors and the sustainable development for intersectoral exchange agreements ,therefore, taking into account the mentioned features in this work, it can be said that a sustainability structure should be achievable to define appropriate economic indicators between the mentioned countries

Steps toward conserving biodiversity should start at understanding the components across spatial scales and a determination of the drivers of these. Here we determine additive species diversity for arid South Australia, based on over 50 years of survey data. Elevation and soil data were sourced through the Australian Government, and climate data from the WorldClim database. Alternative hypotheses relating the effect of climatic and environmental parameters to diversity were tested using generalized linear models and ranked according to information-theoretic statistics. Total species richness for the region was 1824, similar to all arid regions. α-diversity values were low, relative to the contributions made by β-diversity toward total γ-diversity, similar to additive diversity indices for nonarid biomes. There was a lack of statistical support for our hypothesis that regional spatial variation in arid region diversity can be explained by climate topography. Arid South Australian species diversity appears to be largely driven by environmental parameters at the localized scale – beyond the resolution of available survey data. Heterogeneity in habitat, provided by mountainous regions, likely contributes toward the high β-diversity values. This paper analyses protected areas in Galicia (Spain) by adopting the perspectiveof critical human geography. The paper begins by providing an overview of criticalliterature on protected natural areas. Then, it traces the evolution of the protectedareas in this case-study geographical region, correlated to the different socio-politicaland cultural contexts in which decision-making occurred. In this context the finalsection discusses the evolution of protected areas in Galicia in light of the theoreticalsection. The paper argues that protected areas in Galicia have to be understoodas political products and, despite the common (and rhetoric) mention of existingprotected areas in planning documents, tourism promotion, or signposting, thecontribution of these protected areas to effective spatial planning and conservationmanagement is marginal. ; Este trabajo analiza las áreas protegidas en Galicia (España), adoptando la perspectiva de la geografía humana crítica. El artículo comienza ofreciendo un panorama general de la literatura crítica sobre los espacios naturales protegidos. A continuación traza la evolución de las áreas protegidas en la región geográfica estudiada, correlacionándola con los diferentes contextos sociopolíticos y culturales en los que se han tomado decisiones. En la última sección se discute la evolución de las áreas protegidas en Galicia, en relación con la sección teórica. Se demuestra que las áreas protegidas en Galicia deben ser entendidas como productos políticos. Asimismo, se argumenta que en Galicia, a pesar de que los documentos de planificación, la promoción turística o la señalización hacen una mención habitual (de forma retórica) a las áreas protegidas existentes, su contribución a la eficaz ordenación del territorio y gestión de la conservación es marginal.

One of the advantages of analyzing experiences that have achieved far-reaching changes in public administration is drawing lessons for the implementation of administrative reform initiatives. In this regard, this research project has a two-fold objective. First it seeks to find the motivating forces, the main features and the results of the reforms of Australia's federal public administration during the period 1974-2007. Second, it aims to draw lessons for the public administration that seek to undertake reforms similar to those that have been carried out in Australia. It is shown that such reforms have transformed that country's public administration, making it result-oriented. Also, at least eight important lessons are set forth. Adapted from the source document.
On the 15 June 2007, the Board of Inquiry into the protection of Aboriginal Children form sexual abuse, set up by Northern Territory Government of Australia, release a report entitled Little children are Sacred (LCAS Report). The LCAS Report was commissioned to examine claims of child sexual abuse in remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.

Se analizan los sistemas tributarios de Argentina y Australia entre 1890 y 1960, y su rol en la producción de capital social, tema ausente en los estudios comparativos. Ambos países produjeron cantidades sustanciales de educación, salud, viviendas, seguridad y asistencia, pero Australia mucho más ya desde el siglo XIX. Se coteja la recaudación de impuestos nacionales y provinciales (estaduales), los métodos de tributación, la capacidad estatal para administrar y recaudar, y la equidad contributiva de los individuos, de las corporaciones, y de las economías regionales, y considera también la evolución del Estado y sus funciones; las actitudes de la comunidad respecto de la tributación; la relación entre el gobierno central y las provincias o Estados; las condiciones económicas internacionales, la situación del comercio internacional y las experiencias de guerra y neutralidad.

Genetic and genomic information requires strict regulations for its proper handling in order to avoid inappropriate disclosure and secondary discrimination, since it is directly related to fundamental rights and bioethical principles. Hence the need to evaluate the existing Colombian regulation, for which a systematic review of the literature was carried out on databases from 2000 to 2020, websites of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, the Australian Law Reform Commission and the Constitutional Court of Colombia, to identify the shortcomings and the successes in the current jurisprudence of the management, control and accessibility of the Colombian population to tests and genetic information. Australia is taken as a reference to understand and propose improvements. It was found that in Colombia genetic information is classified as sensitive (Sentence C-334-10) with non-specific regulations without legislative norm. In contrast, Australia has specific bioethical guidelines, criminalization and protocols that cover the individual and collective implications described in the Privacy Legislation Amendment Act of 2006. It is necessary that a specific legal regulation be created for genetic and genomic information with emphasis on usage guidelines on privacy, disclosure and non-discrimination in Colombia. ; La información genética y genómica requiere regulaciones estrictas para su manejo adecuado con el fin de evitar la divulgación inapropiada y la discriminación secundaria, pues tiene una relación directa con los derechos fundamentales y los principios bioéticos.
