Bernhard Prestel, Dr. jur., geboren 1944 in Freiburg im Breisgau, ist Mit-Gründer, Partner und CEO von TC Team Consult, einer Beratungsfirma mit Sitz in Genf, Zürich und Freiburg im Breisgau. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1977 war Bernhard Prestel mit TC Team Consult an zahlreichen Entwicklungs- und Beratungsprojekten in der Industrie wie im Bereich der öffentlichen Verwaltung beteiligt, insbesondere an Reorganisationen von Polizeibehörden in der Schweiz und in vielen europäischen Staaten, z.B. in Belgien, Deutschland (Baden-Württemberg, Polizei-Führungsakademie Münster), Luxemburg, Ungarn und zuletzt in Bosnien-Herzegowina. Zusätzlich zu diesen Aktivitäten war er als Berater und Experte für den Europarat und die Europäische Union tätig.

The paper aims at showing the cultural and intellectual atmosphere the author brothe in the years of the Resistance movement. The author, who in that period was a partisan, vows that the Resistance movement will be studied in school in a way that show its capacities in stimulating youth trust in the future.

The first part of this book consists in the translation of Alojzij Res's diary from Slovenian into Italian language. The author of the diary reported from the Isonzo front of the First World War. The second part contains a critical part, which aims to analyse and present the work and the author more in detail. - Der erste Teil dieses Buchs besteht aus der Übersetzung des Tagebuchs von Alojzij Res vom Slowenischen ins Italienische. Der Autor des Tagebuches berichtete von der Isonzo-Front des Ersten Weltkrieges. Der zweite Teil enthält einen analytischen Part, der darauf abzielt, das Werk und den Autor genauer zu begründen und vorzustellen.

The second section of the volume aims to illustrate the iconographical and historical situation of the city of Macao in the 18th century, analyzing the most important volume of the same period written from a Chinese point of view and presenting a Portuguese author who lived in the Portuguese Asia of the 18th century.

This book reconstructs the figure of Isaac Argyrus, a byzantine scholar active in Constantinople of the 14th century, with due regards to the context of his work. The paleographical and codicological analysis of his book collection forms the basis for the considerations on the role he played as both a copyist in the transmission of classical works and an author in the contemporary hesychast controversy.

Dell'idea and Macao amore mio are the Italian translations of the two Portuguese colletions of sonnets of António Correia: Deideia and Amagao meu amor. These literary works have been translated for the first time in Italian language by Michela Graziani in this volume. The Italian translation provides the Italian reader to appreciate the poetry style of António Correia and to approach this fascinating Portuguese author of our contemporary age.

The essay dwells on the important reflection on the dialectic between war and peace that Trentin opens up in parallel with the first and second Gulf Wars, involving the role of the Union as an international actor and the need for European defense before the waning of American hegemony. The author points out how Trentin participates in the life of the European Parliament with the same intellectual setting that led him heretically to argue that "freedom comes first". Political Europe comes first, he argued. The importance of a political Europe in the governance of globalization is, in fact, central to his tenure in the European Parliament and his battle for the approval of the European Constitution project.

The paper deals with the metting and the collective work which led to the publication of the comic book "Bandierine. Tutta una storia di Resistenze". It deas with a group of stories linked to a story which works as a frame. The coordinator of this job was the author and comic book writer Andrea Paggiaro, known also as Tuono Pettinato, who died in june 2021. In order to cope with the history of Resistenza with we took into account the most recent historical literature. Everyone can judge the efficacy of the book after having read it; htis essay tried to describe the pace taken into consideration for publishing the book.

The author reconstructs the debate that developed in the 1980s in the Etuc in which Trentin was committed to the construction of a European social model. The essay analyzes the difficulties, contradictions and novelties of the trade union proposal in response to the interconnected effects of inflation, oil crises and mass unemployment in the 1970s, starting with the "Keynes-plus" approach, which proposed new investments for the improvement of working conditions, protection of natural and social environment, and for an equitable distribution of growth and the reduction of consumption of scarce resources, especially energy. Within this framework Trentin stressed the importance of a renewal of the Union's task in post-Fordism in which the European dimension and its ability to affect the process of integration become central.

This book explores the link between gender and urban space, attempting to incorporate a joyful activism into geographical research and embracing forms of ""self-awareness and self-ignorance"" (Harding 1992) to reconsider established theoretical and methodological approaches and enact research practices informed by liberatory politics (Federici 2023). The author worked together with transfeminist activists in Cagliari and Brussels, socialised as white and cisgender women as her, to observe the urban space by considering the intersection between gender oppression and the privilege of whiteness and cisgenderness.
The result is a deeply reflexive book, because the theory it contains is conceived out of the personal experiences and individual histories of the people involved and is marked by a constant questioning of the author's presence and limits; joyful, because it chooses the path of attention by focusing on the relationships between the people involved and embracing feminist practices of parody; political, because it offers both individual and collective representations that express how power relations work in urban space.
Parody is the feminist practice for a joyful geography that the author and participants chose to critically imitate discrimination and create three collaborative short films, entitled: ""By Bike She Lives"", on the right to slowness from a feminist perspective; ""Urban Piss-Ups"", on the act of urinating in public space as a metaphor for the right to the city; and finally ""Freedom for Jeanneke-Pis"", on the symbolism associated with sexist public representations. While the individual cartographies contribute to a theoretical discourse on the city, the films are suitable for public debate, to be discussed, disseminated and used to exercise the right to critique, the right to ask questions and to imagine, think and share urban scenarios other than the existing ones.

The phenomenon of military internment in Germany provides a thought-provoking context that attracts various disciplinary interests. Within this volume, the author employs a primarily archival approach, interweaving historical and anthropological perspectives. The aim is to analyze and present a complex source that defies conventional categorization. The «diary» of sailor Giulio Bogino (1923-2013) – an evolving work in progress continuously revised until the early 2000s – can indeed be considered as the testimony of an internment survivor in a concentration camp in the hinterland of Hamburg, who reinterprets the memories of his captivity throughout his lifetime, ultimately transmuting them into a sort of 'popular narrative' imbued with occasional epic undertones. This volume offers a comprehensive introduction to the source itself, highlighting its distinctive features. The diary (1943-1948) is meticulously edited and presented alongside an extensive apparatus of explanatory footnotes, accompanying documents, as well as a rich collection of photographs and cartographic materials.

This book explores the processes through which particular places take shape in the imaginaries, perceptions and narratives of people who do not inhabit them, or who have inhabited them only recently. The ways in which we imagine the elsewhere are the product of stories collectively constructed and reproduced by a multiplicity of actors and through a variety of communicative tools and practices. These narratives shape our perceptions of others, the way we relate to them, and the politics that regulate cohabitation on Earth. In this book, the elsewhere becomes a device for exploring some of the ways in which human beings interact with each other, establish distinctions and alliances, trace borders, and enact change in the epoch of the Anthropocene. Through four phenomenologies of the elsewhere (Europe, Africa, the transnational space, climate change), the author reflects on the opportunity to decentralize one's own gaze, in time and space, in order to imagine other ways of worldmaking.
