In: Israel Yearbook on Human Rights 22
The Israel Yearbook on Human Rights - an annual published under the auspices of the Faculty of Law of Tel Aviv University since 1971 - is devoted to publishing studies by distinguished scholars in Israel and other countries on human rights in peace and war, with particular emphasis on problems relevant to the State of Israel and the Jewish people. The Yearbook also incorporates documentary materials, relating to Israel and the Administered Areas, which are not otherwise available in English (including summaries of judicial decisions, compilations of legislative enactments and military proclamations)

Um 1 Kapitel der US-Neuausgabe 1984 und zusätzliche Literaturhinweise (M. Tschirner) erweiterte 3. deutsche Auflage (1. Auflage 1977: BA 1/78, 180). Keine eigentliche Wirtschaftsgeschichte, sondern systematischer Überblick über Grundzüge und Hauptphänomene antiken Wirtschaftslebens griechischer Stadtstaaten, ihrer Kolonien und des Römischen Weltreiches als wesentlicher, konstituierender Grundlage von Gesellschaft, Staat und Kultur. Ohne deren Kenntnis - der Stände- und Sklavengesellschaft, des Verhältnisses von Grundherren und Bauern, Stadt und Land, Handwerk und Manufaktur, Handel und Verkehr, des "Staatshaushaltes" (d.i. "Oikonomia") - sind soziale Organisation, Verwaltung und politische Vorgänge nicht zu verstehen, weshalb auch Finley (zuletzt BA 1/93) historische Entwicklungen und politische Veränderungen stets einbezieht.
