Historian Ezov follows three battles involving Israel Defence Forces in the last four days of the campaign around the Suez Canal during the Yom Kippur War, October 20-25, 1973. The reverses suffered during Egypt's initial attack had been turned back, but victory was not perceived to have been achieved.--

The subjects of this volume are views and perceptions of the 'other' (i.e. strangers, enemies or curiosities) within the Islamic world, as well as in the interplay between the Islamic and non-Islamic worlds. Two Sides of the Coin: Independence and Nakba 1948, written by two eminent historians, Adel Manna and Motti Golani, takes the reader on a journey to the War of 1948, by offering contemporary multi-perspective narratives on the war, accompanied by maps that highlight historical events during that time. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is understood as a conflict over territory, while simultaneously it is a conflict over historical narratives. One of the most important questions asked in this conflict over narrative is: what happened in 1948?
