; This paper brings up to date information on the palearctic migrants wintering in the Republic of Senegal given in a prece ding article (La Terre et la Vie, 20, 1966 : 19-72, 143-176). Besides regular observations made in the Northern and Western parts of the country, field trips were made in the Southern and the Eastern districts, so far poorly explored by ornithologists. Further data on dates of arrival and departure, and of popu lation size, are given for 97 species. Since 1966, the list of palear- tic migrants has been increased by 22 species. Within the poli tical boundaries of the republics of Senegal and Gambia, a grand total of 170 species of paleartic migrants has so far been recorded.

Environment is not only the business of politicians, planners, civil servants, manufacturers but the business of all of us. The author emphasizes the prominent part of the conservation voluntary groups in the field of nature and environment. Some examples are given, amongst the innumerable activities and experiments of such groups. To prevent unsuitable or inefficient efforts the author draws up a li st of the desirable features for an E.E. for the people. The E.E. is an important part of the citizen's education: it should allow him to assume his future not as a fatality but in a responsible way.
In a book review, the author criticizes a frequent attitude of lawyers, especially of practising lawyers, vis-à-vis the theory of law. ; Peer reviewed
The author emphasizes that from the moment the model of economic growth is being questioned, the importance given - in the energy accounts of tomorrow - to the nuclear program is no longer justified. The «new growth» would entail an economic type of development enabling a significant economic growth and a constant consumption 'of energy to be made compatible.
James A. Beckford ed. Number on Jehovah Le Jehovah's Witnesses has seen a significant expansion in the mining basin of northern France, where he recruited mainly Polish emigrant workers but also French workers to a lesser extent. The author tries to trace the history of the expansion of this religion. It examines the causes of this unique development in France. These are linked to the social conditions of this population: cultural and social change, unmet hopes, lack of political role, crisis of conscience towards the Catholic Church. They may refer to a more general assumption that the Jéhoviste Movement would have been a home for the Polish emigrated travalers. Recruits of French origin partly shared the destiny of Polish workers. Individual particularities must also be taken into account. ; International audience The Watchtower movement saw considerable expansion in Northern of France, especially in the mining basin where it recruited Polish emigrant workers, but also French workers in lesser proportions. The author attempts to retrace the history of the spread of the movement in this region and examine the causes of its unique development in France. These causes could be linked to the social conditions of this population : social and cultural change, unsatisfied expectations, absence of political power, a cris of confidence in the Catholic Church. They could also be subsumed under a more global hypothesis according to wich the Watch Tower movement would have constituted a substitute homeland for the emigrant Polish workers. ; The veterinarian is more concerned than any biologist by animal experimen tation: as protector of animals against sufference, as controller of legislative, ethics and sanitary measures, as specialist of animal pathology and as biologist conscious of numerous parameters that an experimental protocol has to subdue upon a living model. The author analyses these different aspects.
; Can one speak of codes in the social sciences, and in geography in particular? - The author review the use of the term "code" in some social sciences in general, and in geography in particular; by a process of simple analysis, he attempts to show how the concept of State is coded in political geography : the code used is not without ideological implications, and it is distinguished by the referential used, in this case the map. The experiment could be extended to other concepts currently used in geography.

; This document proposes a bearing examination on printed works of the GREGOIRE abbot, as well as on his news, and it shows also a good knowledge of the abundant literature devoted to the constitutional bishop of Blois. The plan of the thesis treats political activities, religious and philanthropic of GREGOIRE of 1775 to 1831. In political matters, the author shows the undeniable influence exerted as well by Montesquieu as by Rousseau on the priest of Emberménil, but also the will of GREGOIRE to make pass in the institutions and the facts the ideas of the philosophers; testifying thus that it belongs to the generation known as of the "second lights". Its oratorical talent as its personal courage made it possible GREGOI RE to play a considerable part in the revolutionary assemblies, although it did not have the political scale of a SIEYES or a MIRABEAU. On the ecclesiastical level, GREGOIRE, whose solid sacerdotal vocation will cross intact the revolutionary upheaval and whose dignity of life will be recognized by all - is a convinced Galician which accepts without difficulties the civil Constitution of the clergy and which believes sincerely in the future of the constitutional Church. It is one of the pillars of this one and will adopt at the time of the serious difficulties which will attack it an attitude of most courageous. Partisan initially of a Church of State, GREGOIRE, of which the ecclesiastical thought is not free from some undulations, is a solved and irreducible adversary of the Legal settlement for nobler reasons besides than TAYLLERAND and FOUCHE. GREGOIRE, names political, man of the church, historian to the untiring feather, is finally, and I will say perhaps especially, a convinced philanthropist who will devote himself inlassablement in favour of certain individuals that it regards as excluded from the company of his time: Jews and coloured men. ; Le présent document propose un dépouillement portant ...

GREGOIRE, names political, man of the church, historian to the untiring feather, is finally, and I will say perhaps especially, a convinced philanthropist who will devote himself inlassablement in favour of certain individuals that it regards as excluded from the company of his time: Jews and coloured men.
