The international relations during the COVID-19 pandemic regarding identifying the SARS-CoV-2 origin are analyzed in the article. Special attention is paid to the American-Chinese political rivalry in spreading own vision of coronavirus nature during a formal WHO investigation, as the USA promotes the hypothesis of lab-leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which the PRC denies. It is concluded that such a conflict of interests between the USA and the PRC laid the foundation for the COVID-19 pandemic politicization. The author proposes the periodization of the problem of coronavirus origin politicization in 2020-2021 based on the frequency and context references to the coronavirus origin in the media and speeches of politicians and diplomats, the content analysis of which became the main method of research. ; У статті проаналізовано міжнародні відносини під час пандемії COVID-19 щодо визначення джерела вірусу SARS-CoV-2. Автором акцентовано увагу на американсько-китайському політичному суперництві у поширенні власної візії природи коронавірусу протягом офіційного розслідування ВООЗ, оскільки саме США найбільше просувають версію його лабораторного походження з Уханського інституту вірусології, яку КНР всіляко заперечує. Зроблено висновок про те, що такий конфлікт інтересів США та КНР заклав основу для політизації пандемії COVID-19. Автором запропоновано періодизацію політизування проблеми походження коронавірусу у 2020–2021 рр. на основі його частоти та контексту згадувань у новинних повідомленнях ЗМІ та промовах політиків й дипломатів, контент-аналіз яких став основним методом дослідження.

The main propositions of such schools of thought in international relations theory as realism, liberalism, and constructivism, which are used by researchers in these areas in the analysis of the political significance of epidemics and pandemics for international relations are highlighted and analyzed in the article. The author places special emphasis on the ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and identifies its main issues that are the focus of attention in the scientific works of political scientists. The author concludes that none of the three analyzed theories provide a comprehensive explanation of all the socio-political processes and transformations that have resulted from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic on a global scale. The main research methods were analytical-synthetic and descriptive-narrative. ; У статті виокремлено та проаналізовано головні положення теорії реалізму, лібералізму й конструктивізму в міжнародних відносинах, які використовуються дослідниками зазначених напрямів при аналізі політичного значення епідемій та пандемій для міжнародних відносин. Автором зроблено особливий акцент на поточній пандемії коронавірусної хвороби 2019 (COVID-19) та визначено її основні питання, що перебувають у фокусі уваги в наукових роботах представників політичних наук. Автор дійшов висновку про те, що жодна із трьох проаналізованих теорій не надає всеосяжного пояснення усім суспільно-політичним процесам та соціальним трансформаціям, що виникли внаслідок поширення пандемії COVID-19 в глобальних масштабах. Основними методами досліджень стали аналітико-синтетичний та описово-розповідний.

The prerequisites, the process of concluding, and provisions of the Kellogg–Briand Pact (The General Treaty for Renunciation of War as an Instrument of National Policy) as an international agreement are analyzed in the article. It is emphasized that the lack of a common vision among Western researchers on the positive or negative historical significance of the document for international relations and international law is due to the diversity of approaches to determining its criteria of effectiveness or inefficiency in regulating international political processes. The paper also highlights the main arguments of scholars and authors-initiators of the document for both positions and identifies the main reasons for the failure to implement the provisions of the Briand-Kellogg Pact. Such research methods as analytical-synthetic, historical-comparative and examination of documents are used in the article. The author highlights the prospects for further research and provides recommendations for the development of the topic. ; У статті детально проаналізовано передумови, процес укладення та положення Пакту Бріана-Келлога (Загального договору про відмову від війни як інструменту національної політики) як міждержавного договору. Автором наголошено, що відсутність єдиного погляду на позитивне або негативне історичне значення документу для міжнародних відносин і міжнародного права серед західних дослідників обумовлена різноманіттям підходів до визначення його критеріїв ефективності або неефективності у регулюванні міжнародних політичних процесів, виокремлено головні аргументи науковців та авторівініціаторів документу на користь обох позицій та визначено головні причини нереалізованості положень Пакту Бріана-Келлога. Основними методами досліджень стали аналітико-синтетичний, історикопорівняльний та вивчення документів. Автором виділено перспективи подальших досліджень та надано рекомендації щодо розробки теми.

Автором виділено характерні спільні та відмінні риси осмислення ними післявоєнного світового порядку, ролі Ліги Націй та інтеграційних об'єднань («Сполучені Штати Європи», «Пан'Європа») у процесі його формування, значення Першої світової війни в історії людства та доведене використання науковцями методу проведення історичних паралелей в процесі цього. Основними методами досліджень стали історико-порівняльний, аналітико-синтетичний та описово-розповідний. В результаті дослідження автор дійшов висновку про відсутність єдиної системи поглядів щодо природи міжнародних відносин періоду серед зазначених дослідників.
