; The article considers the gender aspect of forming regional party elite. The author finds out that women accounted for an insufficient part of the regional political leaders which reflected the situation at the level of the national authorities as well as the regional authorities of Siberia. It is shown that in late 1930s even at the city level of power highest positions women could hold were those of the Communist Party Committees department leaders. The author points out levels of governance and Party regional committees positions, in which the proportion of women was the largest
