The mediatization of politics means not only the transformation of political activity into the media, but also the dependence of political actors, processes and events on the mass media. Today, the study of mediatization is becoming very relevant because it is defined as one of the leading trends in society. And although mediatization and agenda-setting theory have examined the impact of the media on the political sphere, they have almost never been seen as related, necessitating a study of their relationship. The article considers approaches to the definition of mediatization of politics. It is noted that modern media not only broadcast information, but also can act as active players in the political arena, to form a special public space. The author also gives a definition of the political agenda-setting, highlighting three main approaches. Emphasis is placed on the fact that for a long time research on mediatization of politics and the political agenda-setting has developed as separate schools based on different methodologies. The characteristic features of each of them are found out. A comparative analysis of the functioning of the media in different political regimes was conducted. A correlation has been established between the influence of the media on the political agenda and the current political regime. Agenda levels are defined. Emphasis is placed on an equally important aspect of the theory of the agenda – the influence of the media on the agenda of political actors. A number of factors that are important in the study of the intensity of influence on the political agenda-setting are identified: political regime, type of coverage, type of problem, belonging to the parliamentary majority or attitude to the current government, compliance of the covered program with the political party. ; Медіатизація політики означає не лише трансформацію політичної активності у сферу ЗМІ, а й залежність політичних суб'єктів, процесів і подій від масмедіа. Сьогодні дослідження медіатизації набувають неабиякої актуальності, оскільки вона визначається як одна із провідних тенденцій розвитку суспільства. І хоча медіатизація політики та теорія порядку денного досліджують вплив засобів масової інформації на політичну сферу, вони майже ніколи не розглядались як пов'язані, що викликає необхідність у дослідженні їхнього взаємозв'язку. У статті розглянуто підходи до визначення медіатизації політики. Зазначено, що сучасні медіа не лише транслюють інформацію, а й можуть виступати активними гравцями на політичній арені, формувати особливий публічний простір. Також автор дає дефініцію політичного порядку денного, виділяючи три основні підходи. Акцентовано увагу на тому, що довгий час дослідження з медіатизації політики та політичного порядку денного розвивались як окремі школи, що базувалися на різній методології. З'ясовано характерні особливості кожної з них. Проведено порівняльний аналіз функціонування ЗМІ у різних політичних режимах. Встановлено кореляцію між впливом медіа на політичний порядок денний та діючим політичним режимом. Визначено рівні порядку денного. Наголошено на не менш важливому аспекті теорії порядку денного – впливі засобів масової інформації на порядок денний політичних суб'єктів. Виділено низку факторів, що мають значення у дослідженні інтенсивності впливу на політичний порядок денний: політичний режим, тип висвітлення, тип проблеми, належність до парламентської більшості або ставлення до діючої влади, відповідність висвітленої проблеми програмі політичної партії.
