Lithuanian security sector as anobject of administrative and legal regulation. – Article.The article analyzes the general issues of theLithuanian security sector and highlights the content ofthe administrative and legal regulation of this sector.The scientific and legal analysis of the current normativelegal acts and scientific and theoretical sources on thisissue is carried out. It wasnoted that the interests of the country's national securityare the sovereignty of the state, the integrity of theterritory and the democratic constitutional order, peace,prosperity of the population and safe conditions for thedevelopment of the state, the viability and unity of theEuro-Atlantic community. The strategic documents ofthe national security of the Republic of Lithuania areanalyzed. The Republic of Lithuania is strengthening itsNATO and EU membership, as well as the US militaryand political presence in Europe and the region. NATOremains the only and important collective defenseorganization, therefore strengthening the deterrenceand collective defense of NATO by ensuring a permanentand strong military presence of NATO and its allies in theregion is a guarantee of the security of the Republic ofLithuania. The study reveals the essence of the issue oflegal regulation and administrative and legal regulation,in particular. As a result of the study, it was provedthat ensuring the administrative and legal regulationof Lithuania's national security is a condition for theprosperity of the state and society and largely dependson international political processes. The Republicof Lithuania is actively involved in these processes,defending its interests and ensuring an internationalsecurity environment by strengthening the rules-basedinternational order, the unity of the Euro-Atlanticcommunity and the security architecture in Europe.
