Maratua Island is a part of the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN), namely Derawan-Sangalaki, in Berau Regency. This study aims to analyze the potential that can be developed on Maratua Island as a tourism destination in eastern Indonesia. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. To identify the tourism potential that can be developed on Maratua Island, use a modified guide to the Analysis of the Operational Areas for Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions (ADO-ODTWA). Maratua Island has the potential as a natural tourism destination in the form of flora and fauna, coral reefs, mangrove forests, lakes, and natural panoramas that are worthy of being developed. Based on the analysis of the factors of attractiveness, accessibility, socio-economic conditions, accommodation, sapras, and water availability, the index is 84% or feasible to develop. Maratua Island is in an advantageous condition because it has its own airport and port. For this reason, the Berau Regency Government needs to promote the potential that exists in Maratua Island, a five-year work plan is made for sustainable tourism development, involves the community in tourism management and cooperates with parties so that the development of Maratua Island tourism potential can be better.

Abrasion is a problem that often occurs in the coastline, therefore this problem must be addressed immediately, it makes the special attention of the district government. Big Dipper in handling abrasion that has occurred at several locations. This study aims to determine how the potential for abrasion, mitigation efforts and how the effectiveness of the breakwater in reducing abrasion in Biduk-Biduk District. This research was conducted with a purposive sampling method and data analysis techniques used include analysis of abrasion potential, analysis of efforts to overcome abrasion and analysis of the effectiveness of building waves as an effort to obtain supporting data such as shoreline change data, breakwater building data, data factors affecting the abrasion and effectiveness of building breakwaters obtained from the District, Public Works Agency and the Berau District Government Fund. the results of abrasion potential studies in Biduk-Biduk Subdistrict indicate that there are still many areas that have experienced severe abrasion and have not received abrasion countermeasures, as well as the efforts made to cope with abrasion areas in the Biduk-Biduk Subdistrict. Now there are quite a variety of them, including breakwater structures, coastal walls, offshore structures , groyne buildings, ovaled beach wall buildings and embankment beach wall buildings. the effectiveness of wave-breaking buildings in this area can be said to have not functioned optimally so that many buildings are less effective in dealing with abrasion.

The paper investigates the determinants and the impact of HIV/AIDS on households in Adamawa State. 120 respondents affected with HIV/AIDS were selected for interview using simple random sampling techniques. Both primary and secondary data were used in its analysis to determine the impact of the disease on household's income. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive analytical techniques and a logistic regression model was employed to estimate the likelihood that a household witnessed a fall in income as a result of the disease. The paper revealed that HIV/AIDS had an adverse impact on household's productivity, income, saving and capital formation. The paper, therefore recommends an intensive Aids education programme and Government at all level as well as NGO's should endeavor to provide adequate HIV testing kits, medication and free counseling services to enable the households determine their HIV status.

Along with the changing times that are increasingly advanced, namely with the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, the younger generation today is fast in learning the technology. Then, this research has a purpose as a means of information related to politics in an Islamic perspective to the younger generation, especially elementary school children by spurring the example and characteristics of Khulafaurrasyidin which is published in the form of a Flipbook in order to adapt to the changing times that are happening at this time, namely by take advantage of technology. In addition, this study uses a qualitative method using questionnaires and interviews. We use this technique for teachers and students. We conducted these questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students. This research also uses the Design and Development (D&D) model. Regarding the process of making the video "Khulafaurrasyidin Leadership" as a medium for understanding Islamic politics for elementary school children, starting from the design of the Flipbook, developing the contents of the Flipbook, the process of developing the Flipbook, to post-production of the Flipbook. With this flipbook, it is also hoped that students can imitate the leadership of the 4 khulafaurrayidin caliphs.

The results obtained in the previous research and the author's analysis of the ways and experience of solving similar organizational and methodological problems have identified the need for structural and logical systematization and their generalization for the sound development of structural-functional model (SFM) medical care for children 0-3 years old with bronchopulmonal dysplasia (BPD) and children of older age groups dysplastic dependent pathology of broncho-pulmonal system. The urgency of such development is conditioned by the existing socio-medical significance of the problem of health preservation, first of all prematurely born children with low and low body weight, high levels of their disability and morbidity. The aim of the study: to substantiate and develop a systematic complex of regulatory and legal support for SFM of medical care for children with BPD and dysplastic-dependent pathology of the bronchopulmonary system, in particular with regard to the introduction of health-improving measures. The author provides the legal and legal support for the components of the SFM assistance to children with BPD and dysplastic dependent pathology of broncho-pulmonal system, in particular regarding the improvement of health technologies in regional health systems. In order to improve this area of legislative and regulatory support, in 2014-2016 the directions of implementation of the legislative initiative were determined. The substantiated, submitted for consideration seven legislative acts of Ukraine, which improved the regulatory and legal support of the SFM components. Background: Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) and early-onset retinal dystrophy (EORD), are primary causes of inherited childhood blindness. Both are autosomal recessive diseases, with mutations in more than 25 genes explaining approximately ~70% of cases. However, the genetic cause for many cases remains unclear. Sequencing studies from genetically isolated populations with increased prevalence of a disorder has proven useful for rare variant studies, making Costa Rica an ideal place to study LCA/EORD genetics. Materials and Methods: Twenty-eight affected children (25 LCA, three EORD) and their immediate family members, totaling 52 individuals (30 affected) from 22 families, were sequenced. Whole exome sequencing was performed on all affected individuals. Available parents were analyzed either by whole exome sequencing (WES) or Sanger sequencing to determine transmission. Results: All affected individuals demonstrated compound heterozygous or homozygous mutations in known Inherited Retinal Disease (IRD) associated genes. Twelve variants were identified in at least one individual in three genes, RDH12, RPE65, and USH2A. Four recurrent RPE65 mutations were observed in 97% of individuals and 95% of families. All patients with LCA and two of the three individuals with EORD had biallelic mutations in RPE65; one child with EORD had a homozygous RDH12 mutation. Conclusions: These data suggest that the majority of LCA/EORD in Costa Rica is due to four founder mutations in RPE65 which have been maintained in this genetically isolated population. This finding is of great clinical significance due to the availability of gene therapy recently approved in the US and European Union for patients with biallelic RPE65 defects.

BACKGROUND: The WHO Regional Office for the Africa Regional Immunization Technical Advisory Group, in 2011, adopted the measles control and elimination goals for all countries of the African region to achieve in 2015 and 2020 respectively. Our aim was to track the current status of progress towards measles control and elimination milestones across 15 west African countries between 2001 and 2019. METHODS: We did a retrospective multicountry series analysis of national immunisation coverage and case surveillance data from Jan 1, 2001, to Dec 31, 2019. Our analysis focused on the 15 west African countries that constitute the Economic Community of West African States. We tracked progress in the coverage of measles-containing vaccines (MCVs), measles supplementary immunisation activities, and measles incidence rates. We developed a country-level measles summary scorecard using eight indicators to track progress towards measles elimination as of the end of 2019. The summary indicators were tracked against measles control and elimination milestones. FINDINGS: The weighted average regional first-dose MCV coverage in 2019 was 66% compared with 45% in 2001. 73% (11 of 15) of the west African countries had introduced second-dose MCV as of December, 2019. An estimated 4 588 040 children (aged 12–23 months) did not receive first-dose MCV in 2019, the majority (71%) of whom lived in Nigeria. Based on the scorecard, 12 (80%) countries are off-track to achieving measles elimination milestones; however, Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Ghana have made substantial progress. INTERPRETATION: Measles will continue to be endemic in west Africa after 2020. The regional measles incidence rate in 2019 was 33 times the 2020 elimination target of less than 1 case per million population. However, some hope exists as countries can look at the efforts made by Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Ghana and learn from them. FUNDING: None.
