Für den Ausgang der Nahost-Friedenskonferenz gibt es - grob gesehen - drei Möglichkeiten: Festschreibung des Status quo, begrenzte Autonomie für die Palästinenser oder ein breit angelegtes Abkommen, das eine Zwei-Staaten-Lösung in Palästina sowie Friedenssicherungen für andere Staaten in der Region umfaßt. Nur die dritte Lösung verspricht dauerhaften Frieden. Um das Risiko des Fehlschlagens der Verhandlungen möglichst gering zu halten, müssen die Palästinenser ihre Strategie für die Verhandlungen und die Zeit danach neu überdenken. (DÜI-Hns)
