The article is dedicated to the analysis of the pharmaceutical industry, one of the most actively developing sectors of the world economy, in the region of "new development" — Southeast Asia. It was found that at the present in the countries located in the region under consideration, there is a gradual shift away from the purely production stages of drug manufacturing in favour of an intersectoral pharmaceutical complex. There is a functional diversification of the pharmaceutical industry with deepening corporate specialization. However, a pronounced specialization in the production of a particular type of product is characteristic only for countries with high and medium levels of development of the pharmaceutical industry — Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. There is a gradual transformation of the territorial structure from monocentric — with a growth pole in the form of Singapore, to polycentric due to the growing contribution of Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. A distinctive feature of the pharmaceutical industry in Southeast Asia is the enclave type of development of its territorial structure at the country level. A significant part of production facilities and research laboratories is concentrated in one (capital), less often in two centres (the case of Indonesia — West and East Java and Vietnam with industrial cores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City).

The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the concept of sustainable mobility within the framework of its three key components. It shows that the problem of transport sustainability is holistic and interdisciplinary and is considered within environmental, urbanistic and transport approaches that complement each other and offer conceptually close solutions for modern urban development. The article discusses the main directions of sustainable mobility, laid down in strategic planning documents of foreign countries. The paper also provides examples of the implementation of the principles of sustainable mobility in the strategies of socio-economic development of Russia's cities and regions developed by the authors. Population surveys conducted by the authors in Russian cities as part of the development of these strategic planning documents show that about 95% of the population prefer sustainable transport policy tools that have proven themselves useful in many cities around the world. The analysis concludes with the recommendations for Russia's transition to the «sustainable transport» paradigm.

The article describes the methodological approach to the development of strategies of socio-economic development created by the authors on the basis of the analysis of the best practices of sustainable development strategies in the world. The methodology involves the use of ecological and economic (the solid core of the ecological economics, projects with integrated efficiency) and humanistic (indicators of "true well-being", human experience at the center of change) principles, as well as the use of direct democracy tools (residents are co-authors of strategies, in-depth interviews, online polls with alternative scenarios). The use of this methodology while producing strategies for socio-economic development, including conducting surveys of the population in Kerch, Simferopol and Tolyatti, showed that residents choose the solutions that are laid down in the sustainable development strategies of the leading cities of the world. Surveys regarding the image of the desired future, sustainable city, sustainable mobility and sustainable urban environment showed that residents respond not only progressively and professionally, but also in a consolidated manner choosing the sustainable development path as the only desired vector for long-term development. The main party uninterested in the implementation of the sustainability agenda is a conservative bureaucracy focused on familiar and simple measures and decisions.
