Aristote and the doctrine of pain as deprivation ; Aristote et la doctrine du mal comme privation
While there are several explanations of the ontology of property in Aristote's work, there is only one explanation of the ontology of the problem. In metaphysics 8 and 9, the description of the relationship between power and act prepares the path towards a ontological explanation of the problem such as the deprivation of property. The aim of this article is to show that the doctrine of pain and deprivation is the metaphysical basis of the entire Aristotelician practical philosophy and to illustrate the continuity between the doctrines of tenure, defect and happiness and the doctrine of harm as deprivation.
