Responds to an article by Jerrold M. Post, "Differentiating the Threat of Chemical and Biological Terrorism: Motivations and Constraints" (2002), arguing that his meaning & categorization of terrorism, similar to the global mass media cultural-bounded representations, are incomplete unless US actions are included. US-legitimized violent acts, such as its war on terrorism, create terror among civilian populations. Its domination of the global community supports the material inequalities & cultural domination that create suffering in large populations. The US & Israel have both supported the very freedom-fighting groups that now oppose them through terrorist acts. The media supports US actions while portraying Muslims & Arabs as evil & encouraging their radicalization. 28 References. L. A. Hoffman
