This essay, first, presents an analysis of the Norm 2014/17, which regulates consumer credit agreements regarding real estate. The Norm, in short, aims at ensuring that the Member States of the European Union have internal rules and regulations that provides for real, efficient, and a guaranteed protection for consumers, while, simultaneously, promoting the creation of a European mortgage market. Secondly, this essay discusses the legal regime established by the new law, that transposes the Norm onto the Spanish legal system. ; En este trabajo se analiza, en primer lugar, la Directiva europea 2014/17 que regula los contratos de créditos sobre bienes inmuebles con consumidores. La Directiva en breve pretende que los Estados miembros de la Unión Europea cuenten con una normativa interna que proteja de manera real, eficiente y garantista a los consumidores, que a la vez impulse la creación de un mercado hipotecario europeo. En segundo lugar, este trabajo expone el régimen jurídico que establece la nueva ley que traspone la Directiva al ordenamiento jurídico español.
