Özellikle XIV-XV. yüzyılda birçok hükümdar eşi ya da annesi devletin iç ve dış siyasetinde etkinliğini koyarken yönetimde söz sahibi olmuş, fer-man, vakıf kayıtları ve kitabelere kendi adını basarak diplomasinin önemli bir unsuru olmuş-tur. Bu çalışmamızda Akkoyunlu ve Karakoyunlularda kadının sosyal ve siyasî yaşamdaki rolünü ele almaya çalışırken örnek olarak Hatun Can Begüm ve Sara Hatun'un diplomaside ve devlet yönetimindeki önemi ve rolü üzerinde durulacaktır. ; Numerous examples show that women played a role in society, government, and diplomacy throughout Turkish history. This study discusses women's role in the social and political life of Aqqoyunlu and Qaraqoyunlu state and focuses on Hatun Can Begüm and Sara Hatun's significance to and role to Aqquyunlu and Qaraquyunlu diplomacy and goverments.
