The article examines social pedagogical and psychological aspects of the management of research and project activities of students. The role of the concepts of "interest", "creativity", "motivation" and "oversituational activity" in these types of activities, which reveal the essence of project and research activities, is considered. The aim of the study is to research the influence of the role of students' interest on the effectiveness of project and research activities. The novelty of the research topic is expressed by an indication of the high role of students' interest in project and research activities, which in both cases significantly affects the efficiency of the results of projects or research work. The theoretical significance of the study is represented by the considered structural relationships in implementation of project and research activities. The practical significance is expressed by generalized conclusions about the importance of organizing a psychological environment focused on the interests of each student, in which these types of activities are carried out. The methodological basis of the research is a literature review, structural and comparative analysis. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of the implementation of project and research activities is largely determined by the flexibility of the approach to learning and the created conditions of the educational environment, contributing to the formation of a positive attitude of students to the proposed educational topics, activities and projects.

The article analyzes the ecological situation in KHMAO-Yugra and shows the negative consequences of numerous unauthorized discharges of toxic substances into the water area of the rivers of the district, which predetermined the high level of their pollution. The authors note the great work of the district administration aimed at implementing the fundamentals of state policy in the field of environmental protection. The authors conclude that as a result of the measures carried out, the proportion of surface waters whose pollution exceeded the permissible concentration norms has noticeably decreased.

The article analyzes the demographic indicators of the indigenous peoples of the North of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra for the period 2002-2022. The demographic processes of the municipalities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, gender and age characteristics, medical and demographic indicators are analyzed, trends in the development of the demographic situation of both the region as a whole and the indigenous peoples of the North are identified. The issues of state regulation in the field of socio-economic development of the indigenous peoples of the North are studied, conclusions are drawn regarding the prospects for the dynamics of the demographic processes of the indigenous peoples, as well as the prospects for sustainable positive socio-economic development of the indigenous peoples of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.

The article analyzes the process of creating a legal basis for protecting the traditional way of life of the indigenous peoples of the KhMAO-Yugra and ensuring the environmental safety of the natural resources of the district during the years of its intensive oil and gas development. It notes the destructive technogenic impact of the production activities of energy facilities and construction enterprises on the ecological state of natural resources and the historical way of life of the indigenous population of the north of Western Siberia.

The interest to a research of the factors affecting the development of the machine-building and metal-working industry is connected to a research of the influence of institutional factors on the sectoral composition of the economy in a natural resource-rich region. The initial data are the results of the questionnaire survey and statistics. The research is focused on the factors of the evolution of the machine-building and metal-working industry in a natural resource-rich region. We analyse factors influencing the development of this industry in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra. The purpose of the study is to identify the factors that influence the development of the metal-working industry under crisis and sanctions. Our hypothesis is that the machine-building and metal-working industry in Yugra derives from oil production. The basic methods are questionnaire survey and economic and statistical analysis, in particular, the multiple correlation method and autocorrelation method. We have found the influence of informal institutions on the development of the industry. Moreover, we have revealed the most important factors and tendencies for the development of the industry. The machine-building and metal-working industry remains dependent on the rate of national currency, however the dependence on oil prices. The results of the analysis demonstrate that informal norms and rules have both positive and negative impact on the development of the industry. The most important positive factors are the level of competition in the industry, state strategy for the development of the industry. The most important factors that negatively affect the development of the industry are: skill level and composition of labour resources, geographical location of the region. There is a tendency of enterprises consolidation and the increase in labour productivity, a growth of capital intensity of production, positive influence of inflation, and increase in the role of export. The dependence on the rate of national currency remains, and the dependence on oil prices can be considered to be overcome. The scientific contribution consists in revealing the influence of informal institutions on the development of the industry, as well as in the identification of interdependencies and trends, which are difficult to explain. We have concluded that the machine-building and metal-working industry derives from the leading industry of the region — oil and gas production, and its development is increasingly defined by internal factors. The results can be applied in public administration at the regional level, as well as for legislative adjustments and further scientific research. The regions of the Russian North occupy 70 % of the territory of the country. These areas considerably differ in the level of socio-economic development. Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) ' Yugra is the most developed industrial region of the Russian North. KhMAO is also the main supplier of oil and gas resources. Thus, KhMAO is the focus of the research. The purpose of the paper is to evaluate how the traditional natural resource management transforms on the developing territories and to assess its impact on the lifehoods of the Small Indigenous Peoples of the North (SIPN). The study is based on the hypothesis of the negative impact of industrial development on the territory of the traditional residence of SIPN and, accordingly, on their social and economic development and the quality of life. We have found certain intraregional distinctions of this territorial subject of the Federation. These differences are caused by the features of natural and resource potential, transport security and geographical location. It is true for both the separate municipal entities and larger territorial and administrative sub-regions. We have identified the most acute problems in the development of traditional natural resource management on the territories of active industrial and transport development. The main industries there are reindeer breeding and fishery. We also identified the problem of the northern legislation set up to protect the rights of SIPN. The paper considers the evolutionary changes in the formation of the institution of ancestral domains and the territories of traditional natural resource management, as well as the practice of coordinating the interests of subsoil users and SIPN's representatives with the help of economic agreements. We have demonstrated the problem associated with the difficulties of social adaptation of SIPN. We have analyzed the ecological situation and current state of traditional environmental management to compare the conditions of municipal entities of the region. Using ethnic social and ecosystem approach, we have evaluated the lifehoods of SIPN in the developed and poorly developed regions of KhMAO. The results of the assessment support the hypothesis of the research. The findings of the research can be used when working out on the roadmap of the development of traditional industries and SIPN in the municipal districts of various development level. © 2018 Economy of Region. We applied self-concept theory and self-determination theory and proposed that the relationship between paradoxical leadership and employee innovation would be sequentially mediated by organizationbased self-esteem and harmonious passion. We tested our hypotheses by surveying 374 full-time employees in China and adopting structural equation modeling. The results indicate that paradoxical leadership was positively associated with employees' organization-based self-esteem, harmonious passion, and innovation. Moreover, the positive effect of paradoxical leadership on employees' innovation behavior was sequentially mediated by organization-based self-esteem and harmonious passion. Our findings advance understanding of the mechanism underlying the relationship of paradoxical leadership with employees' innovation behavior, and provide a meaningful extension of the leadership literature. We discuss implications for theory and practice.
