The 620-kilometer-long Yugoslav-Hungarian border was an area of the so-called Little Cold War in the 1950s. The aim of the study is to present the social and political characteristics of the fifties along the Mura, based on the example of Zala County. In addition to describing world political events, he presents the functioning of the internal affairs bodies of the authoritarian system. He describes in detail the preparations for fortification for the war clash. In addition, his knowledge of the 56 events that brought about domestic political change.
On the whole we can claim that in the last almost sixty years there was a significant change in Croatian-Hungarian trans-border relationships. State-governed cooperation was replaced by project-controlled co-operations under the guidance of local-governments and the civil sphere. Unfortunately, stock and human workforce deficit very often obstructs success. Besides it is a permanent problem in our country that state politics has a great influence on local-government politics. So in a certain euroregion the success of operation highly depends on where the local-governments and civil organization belong to politically and on the leaders' ability to validate their interests. Priključenjem Hrvatske Europskoj uniji ubrzao se proces ukidanja hrvatsko-mađarske granice. Jedna od važnih stepenica tog procesa je formiranje Mura Region EGTC. Organizaciju su osnovali Muramenti Nemzetiségi Területfejlesztési Társulás (Pomursko nacionalno udruženje za regionalni razvoj), i općine Donja Dubrava, Donji Vidovec, Goričan i Donji Kraljevec. Umjesto mađarsko-mađarskih odnosa koji karakteriziraju susjedsku mađarsku politiku, u našem slučaju dominiraju hrvatskohrvatski nacionalni odnosi. Cilj studije je prikazati kroz mađarsko Pomurje, odnosno hrvatsko Međimurje kvalitativnu promjenu pograničnog područja koje je u nedavnoj prošlosti bilo otuđeno. Prije svega, istražujemo sustav društveno-gospodarstvenih odnosa koji se aktivno razvijaju, a što je vidljivo na temelju IPA natječaja za razvoj prekogranične suradnje. ; With Croatia's EU accession, the process of etherialization of the Croatian-Hungarian border accelarated. One important step was the foundation of the Mura Region EGTC. The organization is made of Muramenti Nemzetiségi Területfejlesztési Társulás, Donja Dubrava, Donji Vidovec, Gorican and Donji Kraljevec. Instead of the Hungarian-Hungarian relations, typical for Hungarian neighborhood politics, the Croatian- Croatian ethnic relationships dominate in this case. The aim of this study is to show through the example of the Hungarian Mura-side and the Croatian Muraköz (Međimurska) the qualitative transformation of a previously alienated border area. First, we examine the socio-economic system of relations, whose activity is clearly shown by the IPA cross-border relations development tenders.
