The aim of the article is to define the meanings that were given to the University of Gdańsk by the authors published in the "Academic Journal" in the years 1971–1974. The authors of the articles were probably associated with the Association of Polish Students, a youth organization acting as a student self-government. There was also a hypothesis, according to which, the meaning given to the UG was devoid of an ideological tone.To achieve the objectives, discourse analysis was used, based on the corpus of texts from the "Academic Journal", which referred to the UG.Ultimately, several areas were identified on which the discourse on the UG focuses. These include, among others: bureaucracy, student culture, and marine research. The hypothesis was also confirmed with the assumption that the absence of political values is compensated by economic values.

The article touches upon the subject of PHD studies and students in Poland based on the precariat theory by Guy Standing. In the initial part, studies regarding tertiary education in Poland that have been carried out so far are covered. In the further part, main presuppositions of precariat theory are indicated. The author shows PHD students' position in relation to possessing security forms appropriate for industrial era employees cited by Standing, for instance employment, income and representation security.
Socio-economic standing of PHD students has been recreated based on empirical data stemming from "Doktoranci 2011"and "Doktoranci 2015" surveys. This data was supplemented by Statistics Poland (GUS) data and by regulations.
Conclusions were drawn from the considerations showing that if one takes Standing's categories literally, PHD students do not fall within the Precariat category, however one can indicate that they are somewhere in-between precarians and other social strata.
The aim of this text is to provide an answer to the following question: is the current form that doctoral programmes (third cycle studies) take at the Polish higher education institutions is valid?The text is based on the results of two surveys: Doctoral Candidates 2015 and 2011 (to the lesser extent), as well as on the data of Central Statistical Office. The results are presented according to the following categorical lines: finances and stipend-related problems, quality of teaching and didactics, research, collegial self-government and other matters. In the final part of this text the recommendations for improvement of third cycle studies are presented. ; Celem poniższego tekstu jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytanie o zasadność funkcjonowania studiów trzeciego stopnia w polskich uczelniach w aktualnej formie. Do realizacji tego celu posłużą wyniki badań "Doktoranci 2011" i "Doktoranci 2015" oraz dane Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego. Wyniki zostały zaprezentowane w ramach podziału na następujące obszary: finanse i kwestie stypendialne, jakość kształcenia i dydaktyki, badań i nauki, samorządności oraz innych. W ostatniej części tekstu przedstawione zostały również rekomendacje, których realizacja mogłaby się przyczynić do poprawy funkcjonowania studiów trzeciego stopnia w Polsce.

W artykule dokonano analizy pojęcia nauczyciel w trzech rocznikach "Przeglądu Pedagogicznego" z lat 1887, 1939, 2016. Wskazano jak autorzy poszczególnych artykułów rozumieli tytułowe pojęcie i z czym wiązali rolę nauczyciela. W podsumowaniu wskazano na podobieństwa i różnice pojawiające się na przestrzeni lat w analizowanym obszarze. Podjęto również temat zmian charakteru samego czasopisma od metodycznego, poprzez zawodowe aż po naukowe.
