"For all too long, "environmentalism" has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the political left. This book, however, makes the case that markets, free enterprise, limited government, private property rights are a far better way of addressing ecological challenges than are our present institutions of socialism, government control and regulations."

This e-book is a two part series devoted to an analysis of the Katrina situation. In the social sciences, it is rare that we ever witness anything like a controlled experiment. North Korea and South Korea, and East and West Germany, have come closest, perhaps, in this regard. But with Hurricane Katrina we have a strong competitor, at least in a time series sense, if not from a cross section approach, as in these two other cases. That is, there are not one but two New Orleanses: the one before this natural and/or man made disaster, and the one afterward. They are both located in the same geogra

There is a debate within the libertarian intellectual community regarding the legitimacy of voting in democratic elections. Critics say that such behavior is incompatible with this doctrine. The present paper defends voting from a libertarian perspective. It is an attempted refutation of the views on this matter of Casey, McElroy, Ward, Pugsley, Konkin and Barnett.
Libertarians, all too often, focus, and brilliantly so, on economics and personal liberties. Unfortunately, many do so at the expense of foreign policy, imperialism, U.S. adventurism abroad. The purpose of the present paper is to set the record straight, and to correct this imbalance. This paper is a critique of libertarian warmongers, whether they support imperialism purposefully or not.

In the view of these authors, the minimum-wage law is practically the best thing that has ever been invented, at least since sliced bread. They maintain that this legislation has led to greater, not less, employment, particularly for low-skilled workers, who might have been expected to lose their jobs, or not attain any in the first place, at least according to the traditional analysis of such laws. The present essay is an attempt to defend the view that this pernicious legislation creates unemployment for the poor, who are the least likely to be able to withstand its deleterious effects. Only a libertarian would think to base an analysis of the abortion controversy on private property rights. The present paper does just that. On that basis, it concludes that evictionism is the only policy compatible with libertarianism. This essay then uses this analysis to criticize the views on this subject of five scholars associated with this political philosophy: Feser, Goodwin, Mosquito, Sadowsky, Vance and Watkins.
