A Comparative Study Of Vocational Agriculture In The Point School From 1919 To 1945
The Underlying Philosophy that held the school up as an ivory town is now a casualty of war. During and following great periods of human conflict, workers begin to examine basic philosophies, question current school practices, and plan new and better programs of instruction. Once more a gigantic war effect has centered professional attention upon practical needs as never before needs that are moral, emotional, physical, and intellectual. Education is increasingly accepting a philosophy which centers school instruction around community needs. These needs may be local, regional, national, and worldwide in scope. Teachers everywhere are beginning to recognize true education as change behavior within a democractic social order.
