This is the final version of the following article: "Brotherly Bonds and Chivalric Roles in the Burgundian Version of Florence de Rome (Chantilly, Bibliothèque du château, ms. 652)", which has been published in final form at https://ojs.uv.es/index.php/Tirant/article/view/15280 ; International audience ; Loin d'être de fades remaniements de textes en vers d'une époque révolue auxquels ils n'apportent rien de nouveau, selon l'opinion critique qui a eu longtemps cours, 1 les récits de che-valerie du milieu du XV e siècle sont des ouvrages autonomes, mis au goût d'un lectorat noble for-tement intéressé par des questions d'ordre juridique, moral et politique, d'autant plus si celles-ci sont relevées par des cycles d'images sciemment conçues et brillamment exécutées. En effet, la séparation croissante entre arma et amor que nous pouvons constater dans les récits de chevalerie de cette époque amène les auteurs de ces textes à s'interroger autant sur les relations homosocia-les, entre les chevaliers eux-mêmes, que sur celles, hétérosexuelles, entre le chevalier et sa dame (Brown-Grant, 2008). Les liens fraternels font, en particulier, l'objet de plusieurs romans comme, par exemple, le remaniement en prose bourguignon de Florence de Rome (après 1454) dont l'origi-nal en vers remonte au XIII e siècle. 2 Ici, deux frères, Milon et Esmeré, jeunes chevaliers hongrois, Je tiens à remercier à la fois Esther Dehoux de sa relecture méticuleuse de mon texte, ainsi que ses suggestions pertinentes quant à son contenu, et Michelle Szkilnik de ses dernières retouches précieuses.
