In: Unisa Latin American report, Band 14, Heft 1, S. 68-73
ISSN: 0256-6060
The success of Mercosur in promoting trade between its four full members (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) and two associate states (Bolivia and Chile) is fostering major transport infrastructural development projects in Uruguay. These developments cover nearly every aspect of transport: ports, bridges, roads and railways. Internationally, the best known of these projects is the Colonia International Bridge, a US$ 800 million to US$ 1 billion development which will directly link Buenos Aires with Uruguay.
