The examination of cultural productions with nuclear themes reveals the regular recurrence of the theme of incestuous fatherhood. Connections include a nuclear-father figure, one who threatens dependents while purportedly protecting them; the desecration of the future; the betrayal of trust; insidious long-term effects after initial harm; the shattering of safety; the cult of secrecy, aided by psychological defenses of denial, numbing, and splitting (in both survivor and perpetrator); the violation of life-preservative taboos; and survival.

Secondary data are summarized in an overview of the types of violence perpetrated against women worldwide, analyzing them from a feminist perspective. It is argued that violence ranging from harassment through rape & murder are forms of patriarchal terrorism, actions that not only express but maintain male dominance. Issues covered include: rape; incest; battery; sexual slavery, including prostitution, sexual mutilation, & forced marriages; femicide, including dowry murder, denial of food, medicine, & other means of support; denial of contraception & abortion; & sexual murder. Pornography & gorenography (sexually violent & objectifying depictions of women in mainstream media) are considered for their contributions to a cultural climate endorsing such violence. 109 References. The purpose of this research paper was to make an apparent connection between the currentenvironmental degradation of Haiti and its long history of slavery, poverty, gender inequality, political insecurity, and economic repression. The text begins by explaining colonization andslavery's role in setting up agriculture as the driving force of the nation's economy, then goes todemonstrate how this form of agriculture has proven to have lasting effects on the health of theenvironment, citizens, particularly female farmers, and Haiti's position in the globalized market. In order to support the arguments presented, research was conducted using a variety of booksand articles focusing specifically on Haiti, Haitian women, its environmental and social issues, and the economic state of Caribbean countries. The author proposes an increase in environmentaleducation and government support and the incorporation of modern and sustainable technologyto improve Haiti's worsening economic and social conditions.
