UID/SOC/04647/2013 ; La ratificación de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Derechos de la Infancia en el Estado portugués, en 1990, dio origen a una profunda reforma del sistema de protección a la infancia y juventud y de la Justicia Juvenil en Portugal que se constituyó con una entrada en vigor en enero del 2001 de dos nuevas Leyes que fueron objeto de revisión en 2015: una Ley de Protección de los niños y jóvenes en peligro, que regula una intervención junto con víctimas menores de 18 años, y una Ley de tutela educativa, aplicada para jóvenes que, entre los 12 a los 16 años, hayan cometido un acto calificado por la ley penal como crimen. Una reforma iniciada en la década de 1990 promovió un nuevo paradigma que asienta una diferenciación de las intervenciones a realizar entre la infancia y la juventud. El principal interés en referencia a la infancia es la prioridad en la adopción y aplicación de todas las medidas, con independencia de la protección o la justicia de menores. Sin embargo, las condiciones sociales, económicas y políticas que marcan al país en los últimos años, en el contexto de crisis política y económica cuyos efectos se sienten en toda la sociedad portuguesa, finalmente se reflejará en mayores restricciones a la plena aplicación de la perspectiva centrada en los derechos del niño que las dos leyes defienden. La brecha entre el modelo legislativo y recursos sobre el terreno es uno de los mayores desafíos para la regulación y la intervención del Estado y de las comunidades con los niños y jóvenes que se espera que, por sí mismo, no termine por convertirse en una de sus mayores debilidades. ; publishersversion ; published

valorização da condição de jovem não é indiferente aos novos quadros sociais emergentes destacando-se linhas de investigação sociológica que tendem a centrar-se na abordagem sobre diversos problemas sociais. Juventude e risco social são temas constantes na comunicação social despertando na opinião pública um especial interesse. Novas sensibilidades para casos outrora ocultos e o prolongamento do tempo de transição para a vida adulta em contextos marcados pela globalização são trazidos para discussão pondo-se de lado uma definição de juventude correspondente a uma mera fase em que apenas já não se é criança e ainda não se é adulto. Actualmente, está-se perante um estatuto social correspondente a uma nova fase de vida com características próprias, marcada por encruzilhadas de natureza diversa em cenários de profundas mudanças sociais.

SOS Children's Villages work to protect and improve the lives of children and young people placed in alternative care system. The goal is to break the cycle of family and social disadvantage within this framework, it is essential to provide tools to professionals to support young people path towards autonomy and social integration as active citizens in civil society. This article aims to present and discuss the preparation and transition into adult life—A guide for professionals recently implemented in SOS Children's Villages, Portugal, within the context of Project PORTA. Educating for autonomy arises as the main concern for the organization, individually and collectively, since it is responsible for the care and support of development needs of children and young people in its programmes. With this aim, this guide helps professionals and young people to promote better practices for developing autonomy skills and preparing transition to adult life, through the explanation of resources and structured intervention individual plans. Thereby, knowledge and practices are shared, expecting to be useful for others as well. A special focus is dedicated to the reinforcement of specific skills, protective factors and social areas, aiming the preparation for autonomy people in close collaboration with all the intervenient and, in particular, with the participation of young people.

Abstract
To address the topic of children's online aggression, this article explores a subsample from the EU Kids Online dataset (2017–2019) of 1404 children, aged 9–16, who reported having engaged in aggressive acts online in the previous year. Through a cluster analysis, respondents were classified into three groups. Findings emphasize the risk factors for aggression and how they relate to age-specific developmental tasks. Boys predominate, but the gender gap is not as wide as in offline contexts. For almost half of the children, aggression goes hand in hand with victimization. All the clusters share high levels of emotional deprivation. A sense of lacking social support, from both adults and peers, becomes more relevant among those children with high and more problematic engagement in online aggression. Results confirm that online aggression must be considered within the complex and fluid offline–online continuum cutting across the social contexts in which children grow.
