My Girlfriend Became Neo-Nazi: The Right's Presence and Activity in the Internet
This paper discusses the role that the right's presence on the internet has played in this ideology's rise to popularity and its successful attempts at winning elections. It highlights the main messages that specialized websites and the public chat groups available over Twitter, Facebook and Instagram spread around selected issues, such as climate change, immigration, gay rights, and race in Canada; in an attempt to determine the direction that they want to give to public debate on those matters. Based on the case study of the spring 2019 provincial elections in Alberta, Canada, I test the hypothesis that the frequency and radical features of messaging distributed by right-wing websites and chat groups in social media increase around election times, as an expression of a sustained and successful effort at influencing the vote along their ideological direction.

Right-Wing Think Tank Networks in Latin America: The Mexican Connection
In: Perspectives on global development and technology: pgdt, Band 17, Heft 1-2, S. 89-102
ISSN: 1569-1497
Right-wing think tanks and their transnational networks in Latin America are barely known, and scarcely documented.1 Close scholarly investigation into their activities, structure, connections, impacts, and ideology is non-existent. This article aims at contributing to fill this gap, by adding insights into the most prominent organizations and networks based in Mexico. This preliminary information is useful to gauge more accurately the scope of the organizations and networks, and their ability to influence policy and the political process.

Canadá: la federación más descentralizada del mundo
In: Revista mexicana de ciencias políticas y sociales, Band 40, Heft 161
ISSN: 2448-492X
