SELF-ASSEMBLY DI DNA SU SUPERFICIE: UNO STUDIO COMBINATO NANOLITOGRAFIA/SPETTROSCOPIA OTTICA
In: Rendiconti
ISSN: 2384-986X
The self-assembly of organic molecules and biomolecules on inorganic surfaces is a complex process which results from the interplay between different interactions: molecule/molecule, molecule/surface, and molecule/solvent interactions. The interest in the study of molecular self-assembly derives from the possibility to obtain functionalized surfaces that exhibit the functional properties of the deposited (bio) molecules. Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAMs) are indeed widely used in biosensing. SAMs of organosulphur compounds on gold are among the most widely studied SAMs. In the following, a combined approach that couples scanning probe microscopy and spectroellipsometry is discussed and applied to the study of the morphological, mechanical and optical properties of SAMs of DNA single strands. DNA SAMs are a widely investigated system since they can be exploited for the design of DNA microarrays based on the hybridization between complementary DNA strands.
; In this article -which is part of the research about the contemporaneous debate in Social Work- we propose to contribute with some neoliberalism's conceptual keys- between them, Subject-Society- State-Market and their interrelations-, which orientate certain and concrete politics and allow us to comprehend neoliberalism from a dynamic and diverse perspective. At the same time, we approach its incidence in the most variated dimensions and expressions of the social life, by retrieving differents authors who analyze the topic. In the second part, we situate in the latin american region and particularly in the argentine region of the last decades to account for some processes, changes and tensions which are produced as a result of the economic strategy, the preoccupation for the democratic governability and the focus of the state´s intervention in the social field. ; Facultad de Trabajo Social

Crisis contemporánea argentina: neoliberalismo, neodesarrollismo y ¿un "cambio" hacia dónde? ; Argentine contemporary crisis: neo-liberalism, development and a "change" to where?
; In this academic essay we propose to make some reflections around the political, social and economical changes which have been produced in Argentina since the end of the year 2015, together with some other processes which seemed to have a similar directionality in other Latin American countries. For that, we retrieved different historical moments of the twentieth century and some others going on in the twenty first century to place the neo-liberalism's origins and modifications, understanding that this perspective isn't homogenous or invariable in the different historical joints. In this reconstruction exercise we present some linkings between the dynamic which is assumed by the capital and the changes in the bonds between the civil society-market-State, considering some processes that are going on in Latin America and especially in Argentina. ; Facultad de Trabajo Social

A eficiência técnica dos produtores leiteiros no Uruguai
In: Revista de economia e sociologia rural, Band 59, Heft 2
ISSN: 1806-9479
Labour Mobility and the Portability of Social Rights in the EU
The paper first discusses the main sources of concern for people in the perspective of professional mobility abroad as they result from the analysis of the Eurobarometer survey, wave 75.1 of 2011. Second, it tests whether portability of social security within Europe is a determinant of intra-EU mobility. It does this by using Eurobarometer data for the estimation of a multinomial logit model with a propensity matching scheme in which those that made the experience of social security transfer in the past (either difficult or easy) are compared to those that never had such experience. The results suggest that an easy experience with the transfer of social security across countries may increase the propensity to move abroad for professional reasons. In contrast, difficulties are likely to negatively affect mobility incentives. The sign of the effect is stable across countries, but intensity varies depending on the group of countries considered being them EU-15 or EU-12.
