Мета дослідження. У статті викладені результати аналізу історичних і сучасних джерел наукової інформації, що стосується соціально обумовленої і епідеміологічно небезпечною захворюваності населення на туберкульоз. Зосереджено основну увагу на історичних хронологічних особливості причин епідемії, патогенетичного розвитку, поширення туберкульозу, які породжували небезпеку суспільному здоров'ю в минулі історичні епохи (про хворобу йде мова в законодавчих документах стародавнього Вавилона, опис хвороби знайдено в єгипетських ієрогліфах, перських книгах, індійських «Аюрведа».Методи дослідження: історичний, аналітичний, лінгвістичного спостереження, системного аналізу. Наукова новизна: Вперше системно проаналізовано історичні та сучасні матеріали наукових джерел, що стосуються проблем туберкульозу. Висновки. Доведено в статті важливість наукового відкриття геніального вченого, Роберта Коха, який вперше відкрив збудника туберкульозу, описав причинно-наслідкові патологічні процеси. Використання знань історичного досвіду, характеристики збудника туберкульозу, соціальних умов виникнення, захворювань туберкульозного характеру сприятиме більш ефективному процесу його діагностики, лікування і профілактики в практичній діяльності лікаря. ; The article presents the results of an analysis of historical and modern sources of scientific information concerning socially conditioned and epidemiologically dangerous morbidity of the tuberculosis for the population. The focus is on the historical chronological features of the causes of the epidemic, pathogenetic development, the spread of tuberculosis, which caused a danger to public health in past historical epochs. The disease was referred to in the legislative documents of ancient Babylon, the description of the disease was found in Egyptian hieroglyphs, Persian books, Indian "Ayurveda". Methods of research are such as historical, analytical, linguistic observation, system analysis. Scientific novelty refers tj the historical and modern materials of scientific sources for the problems of tuberculosis with the first systematically analysis. Conclusions. Theimportance of the scientific discovery of the brilliant scientist Robert Koch,who discovered as first human the causative agent of tuberculosis, has beenshown, and its cause-and-effect processes were described. His classic workson the development of methods for the detection and study of microorganisms,promoted the active development of bacteriology in many countriesaround the world, thanks to which outstanding scientists discovered newinfectious agents, developed standards of treatment and effective preventivetechnologies.
