ABSTRACT
The lullaby "The Meadow Song" in Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games trilogy provides a narrative fulcrum and plays a vital role in reinforcing these novels' thematic concern. However, extant criticism has not given due attention to its utopian function. Drawing upon Ernest Bloch's philosophy of music and other critics' theories on green utopia, this article intends to argue that the lullaby fulfills the utopian function of fueling Katniss's and other rebels' utopian imagination to fight for a better world of justice, equality, and freedom. It also posits that the green utopian community inspired by the lullaby in the last book of the trilogy functions not as an escapist pursuit, but as a micropolitical alternative in an era of global capitalism.
Wearable ultraviolet (UV) detectors have attracted considerable interest in the military and civilian realms. However, semiconductor-based UV detectors are easily interfered by elongation due to the elastic modulus incompatibility between rigid semiconductors and polymer matrix. Polymer detectors containing UV responsive moieties seriously suffer from slow response time. Herein, a UV illuminance–mechanical stress–electric signal conversion has been proposed based on well-defined ionic liquid (IL)-containing liquid crystalline polymer (ILCP) and highly elastic polyurethane (TPU) composite fabrics, to achieve a robust UV monitoring and shielding device with a fast response time of 5 s. Due to the electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds between ILs and LC networks, the ILCP-based device can effectively prevent the exudation of ILs and maintain stable performance upon stretching, bending, washing and 1000 testing cycles upon 365 nm UV irradiation. This work provides a generalizable approach toward the development of full polymer-based wearable electronics and soft robots.

The objective of this paper is to examine how a firm's participation in government export promotion programs (epps) may lead to a better export performance. Based on dynamic capabilities perspective, a mediated moderation model of epps on export performance was proposed and tested in Chinese manufacturing smes. The results show marketing implementation capabilities mediate the effect of information-related programs on export performance, and the financial aid-related epps moderate the process. The results contribute to the studies relating epps and export performance, as the results confirm the instrumental role of epps in enhancing export performance and examine the interplay between different types of epps. This study provides a guideline for managers as to how they can benefit from government epps. The findings also imply that policy makers should develop epps with a specific emphasis rather than a general goal of export performance. This study develops new insights on how export ventures exploit epps to develop useful capabilities. Also, the study expands current thinking on exporting by recognizing that different types of epps affect exporting.
