Los días 9, 10 y 11 de septiembre de 2015 se ha celebrado en la Universidad de Córdoba el X Congreso Nacional de Economía Agraria, organizado por la Asociación Española de Economía Agraria (AEEA). El lema de esta edición del congreso, Alimentación y territorios sostenibles desde el Sur de Europa, ha tratado de incorporar una mirada desde el Sur a los tres grandes retos del sector agrario europeo en la actualidad: la producción alimentaria viable, la gestión sostenible de los recursos naturales y el desarrollo territorial equilibrado. Este Congreso ha ofrecido un excelente foro para la divulgación y discusión de los últimos trabajos de investigación que se están desarrollando en el campo de la Economía Agraria y ha servido para conmemorar el 50 Aniversario de la creación de la Asociación, lo que supone un hito en la consolidación de los estudios sobre el sistema agroalimentario y el medio rural en España. [EN] European consumers are demanding more trust attributes for the safety of products and the origins or methods of the food production chain. The supply of these attributes in the optimal quantity makes it necessary and very often the participation of a third party: the government if there are externalities derived from consumption and production of these attributes, i.e. through obligatory standards, or an independent entity to certify the fulfilment of a voluntary standard. In the vegetable sector, in general, and in the fresh tomato production, in particular, the number of these obligatory norms and voluntary standards has raised considerably in the last few years. This proliferation has created a problem of information and knowledge for consumers and producers, who need to know the differences in order to decide what to do. By comparing the main voluntary standards, we see that the greatest coincidences are established in the food security chapter. Therefore, there are more demanding standards due to a greater number of fixed requirements and a higher exigency level. EUREPGAP and AENOR are the more complete standards. The first has the advantage of reducing the transaction costs between the promoting supermarkets and their vegetable suppliers and, at the same time, is becoming a barrier for selling to them. ; [ES] Cuando un producto tiene atributos de confianza que son valorados por los consumidores, el mercado no funciona de forma óptima. [ES] La globalización creciente de los mercados vinícolas, con la aparición de nuevos actores en la oferta y en la demanda y la mayor competencia, ha aumentado el interés por analizar su comercio internacional, buscando nuevas herramientas que permitan entender mejor el comportamiento de los flujos comerciales del vino. Este artículo examina las posibilidades del análisis Shift-Share ¿una técnica clásica que ha evolucionado para superar las limitaciones del modelo tradicional sin perder los atributos que la han hecho popular entre los investigadores de numerosos campos de la economía¿ para explicar la evolución de las exportaciones mundiales de vino. Para ello se aplica el modelo clásico y dos modelos derivados de él ¿Cuota de Mercado Constante y modelo econométrico Shift-Share¿ a las exportaciones de vino de los once principales países exportadores del mundo a los grandes mercados de importación entre los años 2000 y 2015. Con ello se pretende, en primer lugar, comprobar la consistencia de los resultados entre los tres modelos y, en segundo lugar, si es posible, determinar las fuentes de variación de las exportaciones en cada uno de los casos analizados. El análisis demuestra que, en general, los tres modelos dan lugar a resultados dispares e, incluso, contradictorios, lo que limita su aplicación de forma indiferenciada. Dicho esto, cabe señalar la excepción de los resultados en el caso de Nueva Zelanda que, además de ser los mejores, son los únicos consistentes. [ES] The increasing globalisation of wine markets, with the emergence of new players in supply and demand and increased competition, has increased interest in analysing their international trade, seeking new tools to better understand the behaviour of wine trade flows. This article examines the possibilities of shift-share analysis, a classical technique that has evolved to overcome the constraints of the traditional model without losing the attributes that have made it popular among researchers in many fields of the economy to explain the evolution of world wine exports. To this end, does the traditional model and two models derived from it apply the Constant Market and Shift-share econometric model to wine exports from the eleven major exporting countries in the world to the major import markets between 2000 and 2015. The aim is, firstly, to check the consistency of the results between the three models and, secondly, if possible, to determine the sources of variation in exports in each of the cases analysed. The analysis shows that, in general, the three models give rise to mixed and even contradictory results, which limits their application indiscriminately. That said, it is worth noting the exception of results in the case of New Zealand, which, in addition to being the best, are the only consistent ones. [EN] The article tackles in general terms the relationships between the Economy for the Common Good (ECG) and the Celler La Muntanya (Alicante), and specifically the implications resulting from the formal participation of a small agrifood firm into a comprehensive, complex and holistic system as the ECG. The case study methodology is employed and the data was obtained directly by the authors of the article. Although they share some features and objectives such as an alternative view to the current neoliberal capitalist model and they support a change in behaviour of economic agents that put first ethics and public interest, reality proves of the firm into the ECG to be quite difficult. The most importants are the certification system by the ECG –similar to other certifications- and the duties for firms from membership ; [ES] El artículo analiza, en general, las relaciones entre la Economía del Bien Común (EBC) y la bodega el Celler La Muntanya (Alicante) y, en particular, las implicaciones que conlleva la participación formal de una pequeña empresa agroalimentaria en un sistema integral y holístico como la EBC. Se aplica la técnica del análisis de caso y la información utilizada ha sido obtenida directamente por los autores. [ES] Con la globalización, el estudio del comercio internacional ha llegado a ser una de las áreas más importantes del estudio de la Economía. En el mundo del vino, donde la globalización ha sido especialmente intensa, el uso de indicadores y métricas que ayudan a determinar el comportamiento de las exportaciones, y a la toma de decisiones estratégicas, resulta especialmente esencial para investigaciones, pero también para bodegas, intermediarios y planes nacionales de apoyo. Uno de estos indicadores es el encargado de medir la adaptación de las exportaciones a los cambios de los mercados de destino. Su base teórica dice que aquellos países que exportan a mercados en crecimiento cuentan con mayores posibilidades para que sus exportaciones se incrementen de forma más rápida y así poder afianzar su posición competitiva a nivel internacional. [EN] From a historical perspective, this paper discusses models for determining the prices of agro-food goods at Venezuela and their consequences. If the formation of real prices of agricultural raw materials and food away from forecasts of perfect markets due to the nature of agro-food markets and agricultural policies, as in other countries of the world, the Venezuelan case there be added the effects of the oil boom and political reforms that have been made since the arrival of President Hugo Chavez to power in February 1999. For the purposes of this article the analysis considers two stages: fi rst of all, the previous to the new National Constitution of 1999 and, in particularly, to the 2002 "Coup d´État"; and, secondly, for the events since then to the present day, period in which the Government has been introducing gradual but clear change towards a model of Socialist orientation of the functioning of the economy, including agro-food markets. As a result, it has been a move away from free markets and a remarkable increasing of the degree of intervention of the Government in the food chain, notably in retail prices and food distribution. [EN] Climate change requires a high adaptive capacity from Utiel-Requena's winegrowers, in which institutions play an important role. This research analyzes the influence of two specific institutions, the Denominación de Origen Protegida and the irrigation communities, on the adaptive capacity of winegrowers in Utiel-Requena. Interviews were conducted and analyzed by using the Adaptive Capacity Framework consisting of 25 indicators. Results show that both institutions scored high on equity and clear board structures. Weaknesses are the low response to winegrower's needs, limited knowledge transfer, and lack of clear plans for extreme situations. Both institutions did not seem to acknowledge the importance of climate change adaptation and their role in enhancing it. Overall, the sector seems to lack engagement in terms of wine quality, technical support and stakeholder communication.
