The review analyzes a book written by I. Vinokurova about the life and work of N. Berberova, a famous emigrant author. It addresses the sources and the approaches used by the researcher, what points she stresses, and, finally, what discoveries she makes in regards to Berberova's heritage. Among the latter is a detailed story about the American period of Berberova's life, her teaching activities and a story of literary success in her old age.

The paper considers the initial-boundary value problem for one-dimensional isothermal equations of viscous compressible multicomponent media, commonly known as a generalization of the Navier — Stokes equations. The studied equations include higher derivatives of the velocities of all components, unlike the Navier — Stokes equations, where viscosity is a scalar variable. Viscosity forms a matrix of elements responsible for viscous friction due to the composite structure of viscous stress tensors for the multicomponent case. Diagonal elements of the matrix stand for viscous friction within each component, and off-diagonal elements stand for friction between components. Such complication does not allow the automatic extension of the known results for the Navier — Stokes equations to the multicomponent case. Thus, for the diagonal matrix, the equations would be linked only through the lower terms. The paper considers a more complex case of an off-diagonal viscosity matrix. We prove the stabilization of the solution of the initial-boundary value problem with an unlimited increase in time without simplifying assumptions about the structure of the viscosity matrix, except for the standard physical requirements of symmetry and positive definiteness.

In the article, it is not a secret that neighborhoods have become a leading force in the further development of human qualities such as mutual love, dignity, and generosity, which are characteristic of our society and people. First of all, it is necessary to educate our young people to become well–rounded people. It is necessary to understand the meaning of the word perfection. The state program talks about such important meanings as a healthy, well–rounded generation, creative and intellectual potential, a comprehensively developed person, a legally literate person, a healthy mother and a healthy child.

Why do some regional entrepreneurs engage in conflicts with the heads of the subnational units of the Russian Federation within a system that puts economic elites in a deliberately unequal position in relation to the authorities? Based on the analysis of conflicts between governors and businessmen in Karelia, the author hypothesizes that contradictions around redistribution, combined with the availability of the independent resources e.g., branchy patronal networks, drive such confrontation. According to the author's conclusion, the federal center also plays a significant role. When deciding whether to start confrontation with governors, regional actors could count on the support from Moscow and resignation of an undesirable regional leader. However, due to the peculiarity of the external environment, primarily institutional and informational, the rationality of such behavior often turns out to be low. The opaque informal rules, which electoral authoritarianism relies upon, affect the ability of actors to create adequate cognitive schemata. The informational environment, in which the regional elites operate, sends them unclear and contradictory signals about the limits of acceptable actions and their possible consequences. In turn, the formal preservation of an institution of elections and parties leads to the formation of identities that narrow the set of available behavioral strategies. The mechanism of mutual learning does not work either: under conditions when the resources available to counter-actors cannot be verified, and the rules of the game change with a governor's turnover, reliance on the previous experience is fraught with strategic miscalculations.
