Ülke imajı, devletler açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Devletler, ülkelerinin dünyada daha çok tanınması ve ülke imajlarının olumlu olması için çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Ülke imajları olumlu olan ülkeler uluslararası alanda söz sahibi olabilmekte, ayrıca önemli kazanımlar elde etmektedirler. Devletlerin ülke imajı çalışmalarında, Joseph Nye tarafından ortaya konan bir kavram olan yumuşak güç unsurlarından faydalandıkları görülmektedir. Bu unsurların başında da eğitim, spor ve televizyon gelmektedir. Uluslararası alanda ve kendi bölgesinde bir güç olmayı hedefleyen Türkiye'de bu yumuşak güç unsurlarını etkili olarak kullanmaya başlamıştır. Türkiye, eğitim alanına yaptığı yatırımlar ve geliştirdikleri eğitim programlarıyla eğitim alanında bir cazibe merkezi olmayı sürdürmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu yönde önemli çalışmalar gerçekleştirmektedir. İnsanların tutum ve algılarını etkileyen bir diğer unsur olan televizyon yapımlarının da ülke imajında etkili bir rol oynadığı görülmektedir. Türk dizilerinin dünya da göstermiş olduğu başarı grafiği ve birçok ülkede izlenmesi, Türkiye'nin tanıtımında ve imajında önemli rol alabileceğini göstermektedir. Çalışmada hedef kitleye aktarılmak için kullanılan yumuşak güç değerlerine bütüncül olarak bakılmış ve bu gücün Türk dış politikasına destekleyici katkısı, aynı zamanda diğer ülke halklarında oluşturduğu algı incelenmiştir. Önce diplomasi kavramı, kültür diplomasisi ve araçları incelenmiş, sonra yumuşak güç uygulamalarının Türkiye'nin imajına somut etkileri belirtilmiştir. Kitle iletişim araçlarının toplumların kültürünü aktarmada ve ülke algısı oluşturmada etkili bir araç olduğu görülmektedir. Nitekim çalışmada da vurgulandığı gibi Türk dizilerini izleyenlerin Türk kültürü hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğu, kendi kültürel değerleri ile arasında karşılaştırma yaptığı açıkça ifade edilmektedir. Türk dizilerinin yüksek oranda izleniyor oluşu Türkiye ve Türkler hakkında daha olumlu düşüncelerin oluşmasına katkı sağlamaktadır. Dört bölümden oluşan bu çalışmada karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, bilimsel makaleler, raporlar, yapılan anket sorularına verilen cevaplar incelenmiş, değerlendirilmiştir. ; Country image is of great importance for states. Aiming to be a power in the international arena and in its own region, Turkey has started to use these soft power elements effectively. Turkey aims to continue to be a center of attraction in the field of education with its investments in the field of education and the training programs it has developed. It carries out important work in this direction. It is seen that television productions, which are another factor affecting people's attitudes and perceptions, also play an effective role in the image of the country. The success graph of Turkish TV series in the world and the fact that they are watched in many countries show that they can play an important role in the promotion and image of Turkey. In the study, the soft power values used to be transferred to the target audience were looked at holistically and the supportive contribution of this power to the Turkish foreign policy, as well as the perception it created in the peoples of other countries were examined. First, the concept of diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and its tools were examined, then the concrete effects of soft power practices on Turkey's image were stated. It is seen that mass media is an effective tool in conveying the culture of societies and creating a perception of country. As a matter of fact, as emphasized in the study, it is clearly stated that those who watch Turkish TV series have knowledge about Turkish culture and make comparisons with their own cultural values. The fact that Turkish TV series are watched at a high rate contributes to the formation of more positive thoughts about Turkey and Turks. In this study, which consists of four parts, mixed research method was used, scientific articles, reports, answers given to the survey questions were examined and evaluated.
