In the article, we focus our attention on the development of life skills that equip children with strong thinking, so that they can navigate different aspects of life and become responsible, independent and capable individuals. We categorize life skills and describe the process and methods of their development. We present some ideas for evaluating individual skills as well as proposals for procedures for their introduction and reinforcement.

"The current educational paradigm implemented worldwide is the development of competence comprising knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This research aims to investigate the acquisition of procedural knowledge and competencies targeting this type of knowledge through the study of Biology in middle and high schools in Romania. The paper first provides a brief overview of the history and existent usage of the concepts of competence and procedural knowledge. Moreover, it describes the Romanian educational system from a diachronic perspective. Following this, a careful analysis of middle and high school Biology syllabi is conducted. Particularly, development of procedural knowledge and competencies targeting procedural knowledge in these documents is examined critically. The results of this analysis indicate that, even though syllabi mention competence and procedural knowledge, they need more concrete activity guidance and assessment to train them. Finally, an online survey targeting high school ninth-graders and first-year university students is applied and analyzed. The survey assesses the implementation of instruction based on procedural knowledge. The results reveal the need for more logistics (laboratories and instruments) provision in schools and for carrying out practical activities. A need for reconsidering Biology syllabi, educational investment, and teacher preparation is necessary to succeed in developing procedural knowledge and competencies associated with this, through the study of Biology. Keywords: procedural knowledge, competencies, curriculum, Biology syllabus, practical activity, competency-based education, middle school, high school. "

"This systematic review aims to investigate the literature on the relationship between time perspective and death anxiety in the elderly population. Time perspective is a fundamental process by which the flow of personal experiences is categorized into temporal dimensions, while death anxiety refers to the fear associated with the inevitability of death. The review systematically assesses and critically discusses the literature on time perspective and death anxiety and highlights the implications for future research and practice. A comprehensive search of relevant databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct) was conducted to identify quantitative studies published up to date in this review. The initial search yielded a considerable number of studies (N=401). After applying rigorous inclusion criteria, a final selection of studies (N=5) was examined in detail. Results of our systematic review show that time perspective is related to death anxiety in some circumstances, but extensive research is needed to explore this relationship. Future research efforts should focus on refining assessment methodologies from time perspective and investigating potential interventions that can alleviate death anxiety among the elderly population. Understanding the interplay between time perspective and death anxiety may hold valuable implications for mental health interventions and geriatric care, promoting enhanced well-being and psychological resilience in later life. Keywords: time perspective, death-anxiety, elderly, old age"

The paper marks the strong link between digital transformation and digital culture and how success is the result of two mutually conditioning variables. Digital transformation is a vast and complex phenomenon with multiple implications operating on two levels: microeconomic and macroeconomic. As a result, both internal and external organizational environments are changing profoundly. The digital transformation has two sides (it is both an autonomous strategy and the result of the digital one). This restructuring is taking place as a result of the new effects generated by this process: new business models, increased competitiveness in the business world, increased organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and culture plays an important role in this new landscape. Industry 4.0 is also a key determinant that has imposed a series of organizational changes and is linked to digital culture and digital transformation. The tools used were literature review and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer for visualizing the main and secondary synapses between the variables. Through them, the hypothesis of interdependence between variables (digital transformation and digital culture) was validated. Digital transformation and digital organisational culture condition each other to ensure organizational success in an increasingly volatile, unstable, ambiguous, and digitally complex environment. The items that ensure the connection of the variables and the way in which new conceptual nodes are connected have been identified.

In July 2020 we analyzed the terrestrial isopod assemblages from different (mostly abandoned) railway constructions in Dobruja, eastern Romania. We identified 10 terrestrial isopod species, of which the most abundant and frequent were Porcellionides pruinosus (Brandt, 1833) and Armadillidium vulgare Latreille, 1804. We identified species that, in Romania, are present only in Dobruja: Leptotrichus pilosus Dollfus, 1905 and Trachelipus squamuliger (Verhoeff, 1907). Most of the species are common, generalist or synanthropic, connected to dry and open habitats. In abandoned railway-stations the number of species/samples was low (at most two), but at the base of a stone railway bridge in Babadag forest six species were found.

The present study seeks to examine the impact of the Principles of International Commercial Contracts on the representation regulations of the Romanian and Hungarian civil codes, which entered into force in 2011 and 2013, to what extent did legislators took into account the results of the Principles, and whether there are any harmonization efforts in relation to these two legal systems. The imputability of the representative's actions is a central issue in the mechanism of representation, so the analysis necessarily covers the representation concepts of the Principles of International Commercial Contracts and the examined national legal systems.
