La filosofía de H. G. Gadamer propone un modelo de racionalidad que polemiza con el de la racionalidad científica moderna, pero más por razones ético-políticas que epistemológicas. Su intención es legitimar la Retórica en el marco de la cultura de las ciencias, para recuperar el momento comunicativo y de persuasión de la racionalidad humana, que dicha cultura sacrifica. Para este objetivo, el modelo de la filosofía práctica de Aristóteles aporta una orientación útil. ; The rationality model of the philosophy of Hans Georg Gadamer debates with that of the scientific rationality for ethical and political motifs rather than epistemological ones. It intends to legitimate Rhetoric within the culture of sciences in order to restare that moment in which human rationality was defined by communication and·persuation, nowadays sacrified by such a culture. Aristotle's model of practique philosophy is jolly useful to accomplish this purpose.

RESUMEN: Por sus logros literarios y filosóficos, la representación establecida del romanticismo y el idealismo alemanes goza hoy de una imagen favorable, que solapa la virulencia política e ideológica que enfrentó a sus protagonistas. Schlegel, Hegel y Heine representan bien ese debate. El artículo aprovecha la distinción entre lo romántico y el romanticismo. Schlegel es el autor de la tipología del arte romántico, el arte europeo que se generó al abrigo de su cristianismo, y se fue desacralizando hasta sus condiciones modernas. El romanticismo, bien caracterizado por La escuela romántica de Heine, es la conversión de esta estética romántica en una ideología medievalizante y retardataria, en una política cultural hostil a la Ilustración alemana, que Heine critica por razones históricas, políticas y sociales, y Hegel, por razones filosóficas. En materia filosófica, el pensamiento romántico criticado por Hegel ya no es el de Schlegel sino el de Schelling. ; ABSTRACT: Given their literary and philosophical achievements, German Romanticism and German Idealism enjoy a good reputation, covering up the political and ideological virulence that its main protagonists – such as Schlegel, Hegel and Heine – had to face. This article distinguishes between Romantic and Romanticism. Schlegel devised a typology of Romantic art. This European art form, which developed under the preserve of Christianity, gradually lost its sacred character as it became modern. Romanticism, well characterized by Heine`s "Romantic School," is the conversion of this Romantic aesthethic into a medievalizing and conservative ideology in the context of a political culture hostile to German Enlightenment, which was criticized by Heine for historical, political and social reasons, and by Hegel for philosophical reasons. In terms of philosophy, the Romantic thought criticized by Hegel was not that of Schlegel but that of Schelling.

A. C. Danto's approaches to pluralism in contemporary art and art criticism take as a point of reference the eighties, a short period in which pluralism emerged as a theme for artistic consciousness. Artistic movements of the sixties such as pop, minimalism, fluxus, had abolished aesthetics as a criterion for defining art: a work of art could be anything. This could no longer be assimilated by criticism but by the philosophy of art, the only one capable of a concept of transhistoric and pluralist art in itself. However, pluralism in art also requires criticism. The article exposes the difference between art philosophy and art criticism, and to face the challenge of pluralism, the difference between free art criticism and criticism dependent on the institutionalized art world. Finally, the article takes advantage of an allusion by Danto to associate the spirit of pluralism in art and politics. ; Los planteamientos de A. C. Danto sobre el pluralismo en el arte y la crítica de arte contemporáneos toman como punto de referencia los años ochenta, un corto periodo en el que el pluralismo afloró como tema para la conciencia artística. Movimientos artísticos de los sesenta como el pop, el minimalismo, fluxus, habían derogado la estética como criterio para la definición del arte: obra de arte podía ser cualquier cosa. Esto ya no lo podía asimilar la crítica sino la filosofía del arte, única capaz de un concepto del arte transhistórico y pluralista de por sí. Sin embargo, el pluralismo en el arte requiere también de la crítica. El artículo expone la diferencia entre filosofía del arte y crítica de arte, y para afrontar el reto del pluralismo, la diferencia entre crítica de arte libre y crítica dependiente del mundo del arte institucionalizado. Finalmente, el artículo aprovecha una alusión de Danto para asociar el espíritu del pluralismo en el arte y la política.

The challenge of sophistics forced Plato to posit the reciprocal interplay between nomos and logos, law and measure so as to be able to feasibly sustain the enlightenment of the class in its constant rhetorical interchange. Sophistics showed that absolute nomos is non-existent and that it is man himself who has to craft it. Sophistics is based on the rationality of rhetoric with a view to achieving enlightenment concerning political decisions. Both rhetoric and sophistics correctly view that reasonable political action is mediated by language, but equally both succumb to the erroneous conception which consists in assuming that lagos is a mere individual instrument or strategy however this ideaundermines the political class. Knowledge as dialectic is Plato's response to the struggle between viewpoints as put into force by the Sophists. Knowledge is only knowledge in opinion, in praxically inherent reflection which is al ways open to correction. ; El reto de la sofística obligó a Platón a afirmar el juego recíproco de Nomos y Logos, de ley y medida, para poder sostener debidamente la ilustración de la comunidad política en su intercambio retórico constante. La sofística demostró que el Nomos absoluto no existe y que son los hombres quienes tienen que forjarlo. Sobre la racionalidad de la retórica se erigió la sofística, cuyo objetivo fue ganar ilustración para las decisiones públicas. Retórica y sofística ven correctamente que la acción política razonable está mediatizada por el lenguaje, pero caen en un error al asumir el Logos como mero instrumento o estrategia individuales, pues ello hace estallar la comunidad política. El saber como dialéctica es una respuesta de Platón a la lucha de opiniones que practican los sofistas. El saber es saber en la opinión, reflexión inmanente a la praxis, siempre abierta a la corrección.
