Refrigeration is one of the key elements for food preservation. With global temperatures increasing due to global warming, the efficiency in refrigerated storage systems must be improved. One of the problems that is yet to be solved in these systems is the efficient and accurate removal of the frost formed on the heat exchanger surface. In previous works, a low-cost resistive sensor has been developed to detect frost formation for accurate removal. This paper shows the results of an experimental study carried out to increase the accuracy, by placing different configurations of a fabric medium in between the sensor electrodes. ; This study is within the activities of project "Pack2Life – High performance packaging", project IDT in consortium No.33792, call No.03/SI/2017, Ref. This experimental task was performed using 8 sustainable Bio-Boxes in the thermal chamber in the laboratory. The air is forced from the refrigerator, and it is used to control the temperature inside the thermal chamber. The goal of the performed task is to evaluate the thermal behaviour of the bio Boxes made from different material, such as sugarcane bagasse and PLA material with respect to time. The test was performed to lower the temperature inside the chamber to its minimum air temperature inside the cold chamber. The results show that the SCB 4 has noticed changes in its mechanical properties (Tensile Strength) and it also shown some moisture absorbing when compared to other Bio boxes. Furthermore, this kind of Bio packaging materials needs more research to improve their mechanical and barrier properties and minimise the use of plastic containers for food packaging industry. ; This study is within the activities of project "Pack2Life – High performance packaging", project IDT in consortium No 33792, call No 03/SI/2017, Ref. Este documento aspira a contextualizar los grandes retos en la construcción de la ciudad-región sostenible tanto en Colombia como en Francia, en el marco de una reflexión que no excluya ningún otro contexto como fuente de conocimiento o de experiencia en torno a: Las transformaciones urbanas y las modalidades de la democracia participativa y a los desafíos técnicos y los obstáculos científicos ligados a la transformación de la ciudad-región en la «ciudad sostenible». Las discusiones se realizan en torno a tres ejes principales: Debate y política pública: Analizar los retos que se imponen, así como los desafíos y aprendizajes superados en el tema, mediante el intercambio de visiones de la construcción de la ciudad-región sostenible. Abrir el debate desde las distintas nociones y aproximaciones de «ciudad sostenible» en el marco de la actual política pública urbana y regional en los distintos niveles de gobierno. Reconocer las posiciones de los distintos agentes económicos y gubernamentales, así como de las organizaciones sociales sobre el diseño e impacto de la política urbana en la sostenibilidad del territorio. Investigación: Evidenciar las propuestas que existen en diferentes países sobre las implicaciones de la Ingeniería y las Ciencias Humanas en el desarrollo sostenible y la construcción de la ciudad-región sostenible. Crear espacios de reflexión en el coloquio para el intercambio, la apropiación y reflexión del conocimiento. Utilizar los recursos existentes para contribuir a generar soluciones sostenibles, no solo compartiendo saberes sino también gestando pluralidad de soluciones para las nuevas generaciones imbuidas en una dinámica global con problemáticas mundiales y locales. Posconflicto: Difundir e involucrar a las poblaciones más vulnerables desde las distintas visiones sobre sostenibilidad urbana. Aportar a la construcción del tejido social y la participación ciudadana en la constitución y desarrollo de las ciudades del posconflicto, en términos de espacios de convivencia, infraestructuras y demás dotaciones del espacio físico construido a nivel urbano y regional. Fortalecer nuevos ámbitos de las relaciones socioculturales y apuestas comunes de un desarrollo sostenible y económico.
