Dosa budaya politik orde baru banyak dipengaruhi oleh penyalahgunaan paham kekuasaan Jawa. Kekuasaan Jawa yang mustinya adiluhung, berdasarkan wahyu atau pulung telah dibelokan oleh penguasa sehingga tumbuh sistem patronase (bapakisme,) yang melahirkan budaya KKN (kolusi, korupsi, dan nepotisme). Hal itu terjadi dalam wawasan antropologi sastra karena ada pengaruh zaman edan yaitu sebuah era yang memungkinkan tcrjadinya kekacauan dan kebimbangan. Pada saat semacam itu muncul pula gerakan ratu adil yang menginginkan lahirnya panguwasa sejati artinya pemerintahan baru yang legitimate.Hasil kajian terhadap teks-teks Jawa secara antropologi sastra dan historis, tampak bahwa pengaruh zaman edan terhadap budaya politik orde baru juga telah memunculkan budaya ewuh pakewuh sehingga pengadilan tidak berjalan sebagaimana mestinya. Zaman edan juga telah memicu lahirnya budaya ingin menyenangkan atasan. Akibatnya dalam pemerintahan orde baru sering terjadi upeti dan sogok-menyogok kepada atasan. Atas dasar ini, pemerintahan menjadi tidak bersih dan berwibawa, melainkan penuh dengan intrik seperti dagang sapi. Gema pemerintahan orde baru yang kotor itu ternyata juga berimbas pada orde reformasi. Lahirnya budaya politik yang kurang sehat (kontra) di atas, karena terdorong juga oleh godaan kekuasaan dan kewibawaan. Kekuasaan dan kewibawan dianggap sesuatu yang sakral dan sakti sehingga terjadi keinginan mempertahankan status quo. Akibatnya, lahir pemerintahan yang otokratik, seperti tempu dahulu di era kerajaan. Jika di era kerajaan terjadi demokrasi demokrasi semu, era orde baru dan orde reformasi pun tidak jauh berbeda. Dalam konteks ini,secara antropologi sastra ada sebuah warisan historis yang hendak dipertahankan oleh pelaku budaya kekuasaan. Pemerintahan yang berdemokrasi semu biasanya anti kritik dan mengasumsikan bahwa pemerintah selalu benar.Kata kunci: kekuasaan Jawa, orde baru, dan antropologi sastra

This article aims to explain two unique political actions, namely Sengkuni style and Seamr aesthetic. Both styles were viewed from litterature anthropology perspective. This methapor provides authentic data from 2009 election, expected to be a reflection the 2014 election. The study shows that politic, culture, and litterature were conected to each other, produces methapor in two political style. First, in this transitional era, sengkuni style is more favorable in targetting people, especially the middle class-men. Secondly is semar aesthetic style, more suitable for upper class-men group, those who hold their tradition tightly. This style suits better to pro-people type of leader. In conclusion, researcher found that both style has its strength and weakness, mostly depends on the targetted group in the community.

This article attempts to provide an answer to the question of the transformation of the character Sengkuni. The study aimed to explain the transformation process of Sengkuni. The perspective used is literary anthropogenesis. The results of the discussion show that the character Sengkuni in Kakawin Bharatayuddha has undergone an aesthetically transformed process. The process of change is intertextual. Therefore, from the perspective of literary anthropogenesis, there are two important things to note about the character Sengkuni in Bharatayuddha. First, there is a concept of the influence of the Javanese philosophy of life that gives colour to Sengkuni from the works of Old (kuna) Javanese literature, new Javanese literature, and recent Javanese literature. The concept of influence in wayang literary studies is the development of Javanese personality values that are still valid and related to moral ethics. Secondly, there is a change in the form of the transformation of the character Sengkuni from wiracarita (an epic) to Javanese literary texts. The transformation of Sengkuni is still characterized by the noble Javanese personality, so there may be still a kind of judgment on the character Sengkuni as a metaphor for a wicked life. In the eyes of the Javanese, the character Sengkuni is often seen as evil.
