Comercio y mercado del tabaco en la gobernación de Jaén de Bracamoros en la primera mitad del siglo xviii

Con el reformismo borbónico Luya, Saña y Chachapoyas fueron mercados importantes para el desarrollo de la agricultura del tabaco. La gobernación de Jaén de Bracamoros con las otras regiones formaban un espacio territorial emergente que se conectaba económica y socialmente al Virreinato del Perú, incluido Santiago de Chile. El intercambio entre las regiones debió ser crucial para el mantenimiento económico de la población. El recurso que generaba mayor cantidad de ingresos en la región era la exportación de tabaco, el cual era comercializado en la ciudad de los Reyes. La provincia de Saña adquiría el tabaco de Jaén para su comercialización a la ciudad de los reyes, Saña también proporcionaba recursos a la provincia de Jaén articulando ambas regiones.
