AbstractGraphic design has a role in securing the attention and engagement of the reader, a way of making complicated data a more digestible cognitive aid, but it has been almost entirely ignored until quite recently in evaluation. The author argues that the professionalism of evaluators and evaluation practice will require an evolution in the way evaluators talk about our work. The author describes a number of models and sources of inspiration for becoming more mindful communicators. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc., and the American Evaluation Association
