La France En Convalescence, ov, Ses Treshvmbles Remontrances au Roy pour la recherche des Financiers & la reformation de l'Estat
One of the most brilliant propogandists who lived at this period of time was Francois Fancan. He had entered into Richelieu's service around 1617 or 1618. He thereupon wrote several anonymous tracts which served to paint France in a bad light and then offered advice - received from Richelieu himself - to remedy the ills. This particular pamphlet focuses on the financial situation in France and calls for punishment of defrauders of state money and for a "Chambre de Reformation" to set the state's finances in order. ; Electronic reproduction ; 23 p. ; 17 cm.
