Power Configurations in Public and Private Arenas: The Women's Movement's Response
Women's movements are increasingly influencing the traditional power configurations in Pakistan. This chapter begins by defining the women's movement & looking at its relationship with civil society. The chapter then examines the effects of the women's movement on power configurations at three levels: (1) family, community, & state.
