National and international literature and legislation recognize the lead in grole of Physical Education in learning social and civic competences. Such learning can be hindered or facilitated by environmental contextual factors. In the perspective of an inclusive school, it is essential to take this factors into consideration in the assessment procedures in order to design didactic and educational interventions aimed at removing barriers and implementing environmental facilitators. The ICF-CY model issuitable for this purpose, however it is rarely used in schoolevaluation practices.The present study highlights the possibility of using the ICF-CY in Physical Education in order to orientate the formative evaluation of social and civic competences through the detection of descriptive information of social behaviors and contextual environmental factors that impact them during motor activities and recreational-sports.The research group identified significant correspondences between some ICF-CY categories and social and civic competences. On the basis of such correspondences, the group developed an operational tool for the evaluation of social and civic competences based on the ICFCY which can be directly used in the daily work of the Physical Education teacher in the first degree of the secondary school. ; La letteratura e la normativa, nazionale ed internazionale, riconoscono il ruolo di primo piano dell'Educazione Fisica nell'apprendimento delle competenze sociali e civiche. he recent advances in cloud computing have opened new opportunities in emergency management issues due to earthquakes. In this context, Geographic Information System (GIS) based solutions have been recently investigated, with the aim of the prevention and the reduction of seismic risk. The paper focuses on the results of the research project PRISMA - cloud PlatfoRms for Interoperable SMArt Government in which an innovative open source GIS system, based on the knowledge in the field of dynamic characterization of soil has been developed in order to assess the local seismic hazard and the seismic zonation of the Enna area in the south of Italy. The paper describes how the application of prospecting and surveying techniques allowed a decisive improvement in the geological knowledge of the area, contributing to define the subsoil model for the purposes of seismic microzonation. The seismic geotechnical characterization has been performed with laboratory tests including the resonant column and cyclic torsional shear test on undisturbed samples. The interpretation of geophysical and geotechnical data and their correlation with geological units are presented as microzonatic map. Finally, a wireless sensor network has been used for structural monitoring at the aim to highlight the significant benefits when the time available for access is limited, by representing an effective way of managing risks. All the data relating to the monitoring of the buildings and to the geological and geotechnical characterization are available on the web GIS platform, representing an important tool for the prevention and reduction of the seismic risk.

We theoretically investigate the possibility to load microwave waveguides with dielectric particle arrays that emulate the properties of infinite, two-dimensional, all-dielectric metasurfaces. First, we study the scattering properties and the electric and magnetic multipole modes of dielectric cuboids and identify the conditions for the excitation of the so-called anapole state. Based on the obtained results, we design metasurfaces composed of a square lattice of dielectric cuboids, which exhibit strong toroidal resonances. Then, three standard microwave waveguide types, namely parallel-plate waveguides, rectangular waveguides, and microstrip lines, loaded with dielectric cuboids are designed, in such a way that they exhibit the same resonant features as the equivalent dielectric metasurface. The analysis shows that parallel-plate and rectangular waveguides can almost perfectly reproduce the metasurface properties at the resonant frequency. The main attributes of such resonances are also observed in the case of a standard impedance-matched microstrip line, which is loaded with only a small number of dielectric particles. A single-layer, all-dielectric metasurface exhibiting a strong toroidal resonance in the low-atmospheric loss radio window of the subterahertz W-band is theoretically proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The metasurface is fabricated on a high-resistivity floating-zone silicon wafer by means of a single-process, wet anisotropic etching technique. The properties of the toroidal mode of both the constituent dielectric elements and the metasurface are rigorously investigated by means of the multipole decomposition technique and full-wave simulations.
