Intégration en Suisse des jeunes adultes issus de la migration espagnole et italienne: groupe témoin de jeunes adultes suisses - 1998
The research focuses on the ways in which Swiss "second generation" adults between the ages of 20 and 35 are integrated into society, as well as how they experience their bicultural situation. It focuses more specifically on the children of Italian and Spanish immigrants residing in the cantons of Basel-City and Geneva. Its objective is to know whether or not this population has specific mobility trajectories, and to what extent it develops particular forms of identity. It also seeks to understand the modes of articulation between the modes of integration of these young adults to the Swiss society and their types of identity affirmation. This research allows us to analyze the integration of two successive generations of immigrants in different cantonal contexts, from the point of view of their socio-economic and cultural context, as well as the integration policies implemented in each of these cantons. This study makes it possible to contribute to the public debate on the forms of integration of immigrants and to contribute to the evaluation of the political and social measures planned or adopted in that respect.
