Objectives: To describe and understand ideas of adolescents on the crack use prevention. Method: A qualitative study with the action research method was conducted, located at the Family Health Strategy, a community located in the state of Maranhao. The subjects were eleven adolescents. The data were collected by means of seminars and analyzed using content analysis. Results: It was observed that adolescents have the conception that the use of crack can be triggered by a lack of information. They feel the need to be more prepared in order to better understand the possible ways of prevention, complications and risks resulting from crack abuse. Conclusion: It is concluded that the professionals of the Family Health Strategy need to be more prepared when it comes to adolescents, so they can actually recognize the real needs of these individuals.

Objective: To evaluate the functional capacity of older people engaged in physical activity through the test of six-minute walk test (6MWT). Method: An exploratory study with a quantitative approach, with 40 elderly participants of the Center for Health Care of the Elderly (CASI) of Piripiri (PI). We calculated the distance specified by demographics and the 6MWT was applied to identify the actual distance traveled. Results: The findings showed that the majority of participants were female, with 66 to 70 years old, married, a minimum wage income, low education. Individuals were considered hypertensive and diabetic patients traveled less value than individuals without the disease. There was no statistically significant difference between the average distance and the expected average distance. Conclusion: Older people who practice physical activity showed a level of functional capacity as demonstrated by satisfactory values of the distances traveled in the walk test six minutes.

Objective: To assess the knowledge and practice of workers, professionals and managers about the Healthcare Waste in a reference institute in tropical and communicable diseases Teresina (PI). Method: A descriptive, observational study with quantitative analysis, conducted from 01 to 30 March 2012. The study population was composed of: 49 workers, 124 health workers and 11 managers sector. Data were collected from interviews, using three instruments with a specific script to each group's structured. The study was approved by the ethics committee on research, CEP-UFPI with CAAE: 0210.0.045.000-11. Results: 90% of workers, 95,2% of professional and 54,5% of the managers demonstrated ignorance of the existence of the Plan for Waste Management Health Service (PGRSS) of the institution. Conclusion: There was a deficit in the knowledge of workers, professionals and managers about Plan for Waste Management Health Service and improper practices in the management of Healthcare Waste.

Objective: evaluating the evidence available in the literature about the factors related to non-adherence to treatment of hypertension in the period 2010 to 2014. Method: the authors conducted an integrative review on databases MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF, conducted by the following guiding question: What is the production of knowledge about the factors associated with non-adherence of patients to antihypertensive therapy? The descriptors used in the search for studies were: hypertension, patient's compliance and medication adherence. After applying the inclusion criteria there were selected 10 studies for analysis and synthesis. Results: there were identified as main factors related to non-adherence to treatment the low level of education, oblivion of drugs, and the low level of knowledge about the disease and treatment regimen. Conclusion: many factors imply the phenomenon of non-adherence. Thus, it suggests the deepening of the theme and the use of strategies to increase adherence to treatment.
