This article presents an analysis about the preliminary draft of Law 61 of 2015 on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Panama, in which the results reflect that in Panama the Proposal of Law No.61 as an initiative aimed at promoting sexuality, family planning with a focus on Human Rights, it did not prosper; as well as some other incentives that show weakness, since its approach is given from a scope of sectoral and temporary programs only. In the case of reproductive education, it appears very rarely under this concept, since the orientation of sexual and reproductive health prevails, which constitute a fertile ground to direct institutional and governmental efforts in this direction. ; En este artículo se presenta un análisis acerca del anteproyecto de Ley 61 de 2015 sobre Salud Sexual y Reproductiva en Panamá, en la cual los resultados reflejan que en Panamá la propuesta de Ley No.61 como iniciativa orientada a fomentar la sexualidad, la planificación familiar con enfoque de Derechos Humanos no prosperó; al igual que algunas otras incitativas que demuestran debilidad, ya que, su abordaje se da desde un ámbito de programas sectoriales y temporales, únicamente. En el caso de la educación reproductiva, esta aparece en muy contadas ocasiones bajo este concepto, pues prevalece la orientación de salud sexual y reproductiva que constituyen un terreno fértil para encaminar en esta dirección los esfuerzos institucionales y gubernamentales.

The article examines the Soviet responses to the Lausanne Process, which took place from May to November 1923. The process involved the trial of Russian émigrés Moritz Conradi and Arkadii Polunin, who were accused of murdering Vatslav Vatslavovich Vorovskii, the Soviet representative in Italy and head of the delegation to the Lausanne Conference, on May 10, 1923. The acquittal of Conradi and Polunin by a Swiss jury on November 16, 1923, under the verdict of "not guilty," as they were seen as avenging victims of Soviet repression, had a significant impact on the Russian emigration. While the historiography increasingly recognizes the role of various Russian émigrés in turning the trial into a denunciation of Bolshevism, little is known about the Soviet government's response to Vorovskii's killing and the efforts of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs (NKID) to participate in the legal proceedings. By analyzing unpublished letters written by Soviet government officials found in the Archive of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation and considering the international context of 1923, this study aligns with the historiographic trend that emphasizes collective leadership and institutional autonomy in Soviet foreign policy decisions following Lenin's increasing isolation in late 1922. The research demonstrates that when the Swiss government prevented the Soviet counterpart from participating as a legal party in the process, Moscow resorted to non-traditional foreign projections, which encompassed actions beyond formal diplomacy, and even involved non-communist actors to present the USSR in a positive and "objective" light at Lausanne. However, the bureaucratic complexities of the Soviet state hindered success in court. Thus, the handling of the Lausanne Process by the prosecution serves as an illustrative example of how post-Civil War Soviet institutions operated in relation to one another, characterized by intricate dynamics and an entrenched bureaucracy, far from the alleged "totalitarian" tendencies.

The study of the socioeconomic and cultural reality of the district of Las Tablas, describes various aspects in their history, education, infrastructure, health, employment, economic activity, among others, but also accompanied by events that have marked the reality of tableños during the last ten years. This quaint, traditional and historic district is a magnet for the surrounding communities, this is because Las Tablas is provincial capital, also it has more urban development and especially in the field of both public and private services. Moreover, cultural, political and environmental events that determine the future of this region called Los Santos are presented. Cultural aspects underscore the entrenched and contagious tableñismo showing the potential of a people that does not succumb to the ravages of globalization. But environmental degradation, the lack of firm policies for the agricultural sector, threatening the socio cultural and economic dynamics of the tableña population. ; El presente estudio de la realidad socioeconómica y cultural del distrito de Las Tablas, describe diversos aspectos en cuanto a su historia, educación, infraestructuras, salud, empleo, la actividad económica, entre otras, pero también va acompañado de acontecimientos que han marcado la realidad de los tableños durante los últimos diez años. Este pintoresco, tradicional e histórico distrito es un polo de atracción para las comunidades aledañas, ello obedece a que Las Tablas es cabecera de provincia, además tiene mayor desarrollo urbano y en especial en el sector de los servicios tantopúblicos como privados.Por otra parte, se presentan aacontecimientos culturales, políticos y ambientales que determinan el devenir de esta región llamada Los Santos. Los aspectos culturales ponen de relieve el tableñismo arraigado y contagioso que muestra el potencial de un pueblo que no sucumbe ante los embates de la globalización. Sin embargo el deterioro ambiental, la falta de políticas firmes para el sector agropecuario, ponen en peligro mucho de esta dinámica socio cultural y económico de la población tableña.

PM2.5 is an air pollution metric widely used to assess air quality, with the European Union having set targets for reduction in PM2.5 levels and population exposure. A major challenge for the scientific community is to identify, quantify and characterize the sources of atmospheric particles in the aspect of proposing effective control strategies. In the frame of ICARUS EU2020 project, a comprehensive database including PM2.5 concentration and chemical composition (ions, metals, organic/elemental carbon, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) from three sites (traffic, urban background, rural) of five European cities (Athens, Brno, Ljubljana, Madrid, Thessaloniki) was created. The common and synchronous sampling (two seasons involved) and analysis procedure offered the prospect of a harmonized Positive Matrix Factorization model approach, with the scope of identifying the similarities and differences of PM2.5 key-source chemical fingerprints across the sampling sites. The results indicated that the average contribution of traffic exhausts to PM2.5 concentration was 23.3% (traffic sites), 13.3% (urban background sites) and 8.8% (rural sites). The average contribution of traffic non-exhausts was 12.6% (traffic), 13.5% (urban background) and 6.1% (rural sites). The contribution of fuel oil combustion was 3.8% at traffic, 11.6% at urban background and 18.7% at rural sites. Biomass burning contribution was 22% at traffic sites, 30% at urban background sites and 28% at rural sites. Regarding soil dust, the average contribution was 5% and 8% at traffic and urban background sites respectively and 16% at rural sites. Sea salt contribution was low(1–4%)while secondary aerosols corresponded to the 16–34% of PM2.5. The homogeneity of the chemical profiles as well as heir relationship with prevailing meteorological parameters were investigated. Purpose To examine the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) among breast cancer (BC) survivors. Design Cross-sectional observational study using the data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003–2018. Setting United States (US). Subjects A nationally representative sample of US women with a history of BC. Measures Self-reported CVD status (i.e., coronary artery disease (CAD), heart failure, and stroke) and time of the CVD diagnosis were used to categorize BC survivors into three groups: No CVD, preexisting CVD, and post-acquired CVD after BC diagnosis. Analysis The prevalence of CVD among BC survivors were estimated by demographic characteristics. Complex sampling design of the NHANES was accounted to estimate the population-level prevalence. Results A total of 658 BC survivors were identified, representing 3.01% (≈3.4 million) of the US women aged ≥18 years old. Of those, ≈6% (≈.2 million) had preexisting CVD and ≈11% (≈.4 million) had at least one CVD diagnosed after BC diagnosis, with an average time elapsed ranging from ≈5 years for heart failure to ≈9 years for CAD and stroke. The prevalence of CVD among BC survivors differed by demographic characteristics including age, education, marital status, menopausal, and physical activity levels. Conclusion Our findings suggest that BC survivors are at risk of suffering from CVD and public health strategies for the long-term management of CVD risk factors in this vulnerable population group is recommended.
