Este libro presenta el recorrido narrado, analizado, sentido, de una gesta del Trabajo Social latinoamericano: la apertura del programa de maestría y doctorado de la entonces Escuela Superior de Trabajo Social de la UNLP en convenio con el Programa de posgrado de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de San Pablo. Es el resultado de un sinuoso aunque fructífero proceso de elaboración. A fines de 2019, y previendo el XXV aniversario del inicio del Programa, comenzamos a planificar un encuentro conmemorativo para desarrollar en el año 2020. La emergencia de la pandemia por COVID-19 trastocó todos nuestros planes. Las restricciones de presencialidad y de traslados que marcaron las medidas sanitarias explicaron que este encuentro no pudiera concretarse. Nuestro mundo se volvió relativamente desconocido, casi enigmático. Con el Comité académico de la maestría entendimos la necesidad de iniciar la nueva cohorte (2021) con un Seminario de debate, que dimos en llamar Trabajo Social y cambio epocal: una mirada desde el Sur para pensar los tiempos de pandemia. En América latina, la irrupción de la pandemia implicó condiciones específicas: se desarrolla en un escenario estructuralmente desigual, y con amenazas severas a la vigencia efectiva de la democracia. La magnitud del acontecimiento supone efectos que impactan no solo en las condiciones materiales y simbólicas de la vida social, sino también en la reconfiguración de las condiciones en las que se produce y distribuye el conocimiento social. Conmemoración, pandemia y seminario se entrelazaron dando vida a esta publicación. La estructura procura recoger esos dos momentos en un ejercicio de construir memorias: desde los recuerdos de los inicios y desde las interpelaciones del presente. De este modo, el texto reúne testimonios de les egresades de la primera cohorte; la palabra de las docentes impulsoras del proyecto; los diálogos y alianzas político-académicas que fuimos trazando en estos años se complementan con las reflexiones planteadas por les invitades al Seminario y las producciones de les maestrandes ingresades en 2021. ; Facultad de Trabajo Social

The contemporary visibility of women's accomplishments and popular outcry in the face of injustice and/or violence might suggest that women have achieved their aim of putting long-fought feminist principles in the spotlight and have finally earned equality. However, let us not forget that, in the face of violence, the hegemonic matrix of intelligibility has also historically defined women victims by their 'injurability', so, intrinsically vulnerable, thus justifying the need of the system to assist them. It is not surprising, then, that, as a response to vulnerability, empowerment is celebrated. In this context, one would think that a blockbuster, such as Captain Marvel (2019), would reproduce the hegemonic economy of recognition where the subjects of violence are either treated as devoid of agency or offered empowerment through a neoliberal individualizing logic. However, the controversy that the film and its female protagonist raised (for adopting explicit feminist language to challenge patriarchy), along with the outcry of white angry men (symptomatized in male film critics) and the Internet nerd-culture (members of which considered themselves aggrieved by the film), provide a fruitful ground to look into the communicative logic of victimhood. Captain Marvel can help us to explore not only the chiaroscuros and phallacy of the victim versus empowered subject script but also the implicit logic that obscures the divisions that this logic perpetuates. In this respect, we are interested in analyzing how the movie stages: 1. The assignation and construction of female vulnerability in a hegemonic shared cultural narrative that privileges the construction of the empowered subject obscuring the politics of emotions; 2. The possibilities of empowerment before such a narrative and in relation to reclaiming historical and personal memories; 3. The sharing of the condition of vulnerability across gender and geographical boundaries and its relation with the criminalization of other vulnerable others such as aliens.

The purpose of this profile is to address the Spanish 15M movement from a gender perspective, focusing, on the one hand, on the role played by feminist demands within it and, on the other, on how feminism may have contributed to the 15M, its internal debate and its further developments unfolding in the current Spanish political context. In order to do that, we first explore how feminist demands were initially received in the camps and the reactions they raised among the media and citizenship. Second, we tackle how this case of overlap between a larger group and feminist groups is different from previous collaborations and confrontations. Finally, we focus on how the 15M movement has transformed (or not) as a result of feminism and the implications of this process towards rethinking the role of feminism within contemporary Spanish politics.

Abstract
Within the framework of the debate on violence against women in Spain, this article aims to analyse three Spanish films that constitute a turning point in the media and political configuration of the issue. The specialist literature agrees that, despite good intentions, the attention paid to the matter since the 1990s has reinforced rather than dismantled the cultural imaginary that sustains violence against women by placing them in the eternal position of victims. However, La vida secreta de las palabras, Mataharis and Elisa K. offer challenging narrative strategies to undermine this hegemonic grammar of recognition. Through our analysis, we will investigate how their approach is linked to an attempt to go against the grain of traditional technologies of representation and, hence, the sadism in narratives portraying gender violence (not only in Spain but in the international arena). Second, we will examine how, by framing that attempt within particular historical backgrounds that sustain (or have sustained) violence against women, the films, in the last instance, deal with the rewriting of historical memory.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la representación y participación de las mujeres en la producción fílmica española para cine y televisión atendiendo a: cómo se validan a través de los éxitos de las audiencias los esquemas de género heredados, cómo se vincula fílmicamente la experiencia de las mujeres en democracia con el imaginario construido a través de los relatos compartidos y de qué modo articula la industria la contribución de las mujeres. ; This paper aims at analysing the representation and participation of women in Spanish films and TV movies according to the following parameters: how do audiences validate inherited gender roles through box office results, how do films relate women's experiences during democracy with social imaginaries constructed upon long shared narratives, how does the industry articulate women's contribution.

El objetivo de este texto es presentar las principales líneas del debate sobre la configuración de la violencia de género en España con respecto a sus implicaciones éticas y proponer nuevos modos de acción discursiva (y, por tanto, política). Para ello, siguiendo la teoría de los actos de habla, Butler y Levinas, analizaremos la ética comunicativa que subyace en la actual visibilización de la violencia de género, la cual ha sido construida sobre la base de la victimización de la mujer. Consideramos que la figura de la mujer como víctima se ha reificado como si fuera un fetiche. Esta construcción conlleva la indefensión de las mujeres frente a la violencia y las priva de la posibilidad de empoderarse como sujetos de transformación social y política de la violencia que sufren. La reificación, a su vez, constituye el sufrimiento femenino como ajeno y obstaculiza la asunción de cualquier compromiso político por parte de los/as espectadores/as. Para contrarrestar estas prácticas, propondremos estrategias basadas en el concepto de «testimonio ético» ; The aim of this paper is to present the main lines of the debate on the configuration of gender violence in Spain in relation to its ethical implications and to propose new modes of discursive (and, therefore, political) action. In order to do that we will analyze, following speech acts theory, Butler and Levinas, the communication ethics that underlies the contemporary visibilization of gender violence. This has been constructed on the basis of female victimization. It is our contention that the figure of woman as victim has been reified into a fetish that renders women powerless in the face of gender violence, thus, disempowering them as subjects of social and political transformation before the violence they suffer. Reification, in turn, constitutes women's suffering as alien and deprives spectatorship from any political commitment. Strategies based on the concept of «ethical witnessing» will be proposed to counteract these practices

The concern to eradicate violence against women is not new in the global agenda. In the search and struggle for a more equitable and peaceful world, the feminist movement has undoubtedly been the main driving force behind the changes produced. From diverse grassroots women's movements against any kind of violence towards women (rape, battering, war or poverty, among others) to institutionalized feminist policies and NGOs working to combat gender-based violence, women's organizations and initiatives have been able to raise awareness and articulate a demand to place gender-based violence at the core of political agendas. By having placed the collective and collective organization at the heart of the debate, women's movements have sought not only to address direct violence, but also to transform the very frames sustaining its intelligibility.
