Utilização das terminologias urgência e emergência em odontologia no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19: Uma revisão de escopo
Introduction: After the outbreak of COVID-19, the dental area known by the close professional-patient contact was soon identified as a scenario of high potential for contamination by Sars-CoV-2. As a result, government decisions were taken with a view to suspending routine oral health services in several countries. However, urgent and emergency dental care needs could be maintained. Objective: To relate the use of the terms dental urgency and emergency in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: A scope review was carried out following the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology. Articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish on the MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS (Elsevier), Web of Science and EMBASE (Elsevier) platforms were considered.
