The Aristotle's Solon in the athenian constitution ; El Solón de Aristóteles en la constitución de los atenienses
In this exposition we intend to show the image Aristotle gives of Solon in the interpretation of the first part -of those remaining- of his Athenaion Politeia. We complement this image of the poet-politician turning to the content of the poems (elegies) we have of Solon himself, as well as to the other works of the Stagirite where he underlines the Solonian political thought.

In this article, as its title announces, I intend to deal with the remains of the idea of δίκη in the original testimonies which we have from the archaic epoch of the world and of Hellenic thought, and how these origins, in one way or another, determine what more technically we could call a philosophy of right within the frame of a later reflection on political philosophy, whose horizon must also be located in the same Hellenic world.

The author states that in the modero world is hardly practised what ancient Greeks called JUSTICE (t.Í«'t}). Solon's poetry is the excuse to approach - from a literary and historie perspective - the existing counterpoint between JUSTICE and ABUSE. In this case, the !heme of JUSTICE is pivotal in the whole Hellenic paideia until the end of the classical period. The oldest antecedents are investigated: the Homeric poems, as well as Hesiod's works, mainly the ERGA . ; they are authors who thought justice to be not only the key of life in the polis (city), but also the dividing line between barbarism and civilization. The author, in order to get to So!on's poetic and politic thought, examines Aristotel's CONSTITUTION OF ATHENS, facing that information against Plutarc's PARALLEL UVES. This is done to show the social and politic context of the injustice predominant in Athens in the VI century B.C., from which his character of legislator-politician talking as a poet emerges. About that, the author thinks in Solon' s thought - for the first time in History -there is a reflection which consciounsly proposes the difference between the word in poetic function and in "denotative" function. lt is the first structuralist reflection about poetic language. The author examines and translates the main fragments preserved by the sources. 1t is shown the poet' s great utopía: there can be justice against abuse and usury. Justice can arrive late, but it does arrive, giving proper punishments to the unjust ones. As a conclusion, the author states that whoever walks without justice, walks to his own funeral.

Politics and democracy in the hellenic world and in the contemporary age: a glance from Cornelius Castoriadis ; Política y democracia en el mundo heleno y en la época contemporánea: una mirada desde Cornelius Castoriadis
In this article I intend to draw up some of the fundamental themes of Castoriadis' thought regarding politics and the collateral themes implied. To show that in the pendular character that his thought assumes, his political philosophy is also organized, in whose vision democracy and philosophy share a common origin in the Hellenic world and are distinctive still in contemporary western world. This investigation stems from Castoriadis' article The Greek Polis and the Creation of Democracy. A lengthy investigation which seeks to systematize Castoriadis' thought, having as background reference his political philosophy.

; In this paper I intend to show both the inextricable relationship between ethics and politics that the Political Science presents in Aristotle s thought, and also the correlation paths, as well as to highlight the paramount concept that the philosopher teaches us regarding this epistemé politiké, which allows us to reconsider and reasses the exercise of that contemporaneous politiké. The aforementioned within the wider scope of a research regarding the political thought of the Greek philosopher and the political philosophy of the Hellenic World. Aristotelian political epistéme: δικαιοσύνη as reciprocity and ὁμóνοια ; La epistéme política aristotélica: δικαιοσύνη como reciprocidad y ὁμóνοια
I intend to analyze two mutually related issues within Aristotle's political thought: δικαιοσύνη as reciprocity and ὁμόνοια in its relation to friendship as they are found in the Nichomachean Ethics and the Politics. According to the philosopher, friendship is the last and noblest end to which man's actions (specially the political ones) aim at. Friendship and justice as reciprocity seem to play a decisive role in private human relationships, and are fundamental to the political community, both two thousand years ago and to a healthy and altruistic political life today. Aristotelian political philosophy establishes with great clarity the foundations of the concept of social otherness.

Practical philosophy and historical análisis in Aristotle ; Filosofía práctica y análisis histórico en Aristóteles
This article states that the theory of Aristotelian phrónesis bears a direct relation to a principle of concrete Greek reality, i.e. political reality understood as action, meaning an ability to "lead", to direct towards the good, and consequently to happiness, in the last place. The articulation of a practical philosophy and the historical analysis is given by the empirical research undertaken by Aristotle, which appears in his Politics and his Athenaion Politeia, which in turn has a direct link to the theory of phrónesis as it is found in the Nichomachean Ethics.

The speech On Peace contains the translation of Demosthenes speech together with a number of footnotes necessary to clarify obscure aspects of the text (mainly information tacitly implied in it), and to convey important aspects of the ruling culture of the 4th century B.C. It is a very valuable document of this period of Hellenic history. The translation is presented with an introductory text which allows the reader to anticipate an image of the internal politic troubles caused by the invasion coming from the north which was directed by King Philip of Macedonia and followed by his son Alexander, who finally conquered an empire so far unimagined in its magnitude, and which Droysen called the Hellenistic Empire ; Este trabajo Acerca de la Paz contiene propiamente la traducción del discurso de Demóstenes, acompañado por un cuerpo de notas marginales a pie de página, que son necesarias para aclarar aspectos oscuros, generalmente, informaciones subentendidas en el texto, además de transmitir aspectos importantes de la cultura imperante en el siglo IV a.

Homer live, then and now ; Homero en vivo entonolítica aristotéces y ahora
Homer's work entails a number of questions linked both to thetradition it inaugurates and to the critique it raised in the becoming of its own culture. This article studies one of those critical aspects starting from the analysis which Platomakes in his Republic against the content of the verses of Homeric poetry. Platoniccriticism has its foundation in ethical and political criteria, following rational principlesaccording to the model of citizen-man which the philosopher himself proposes. Therefore, the aesthetics of Homer's work does not respond to that model. The erasure of the verses in this respect means the obliteration of what is most enigmaticin the nature of human beings and which keeps suspended in the air its force until today, which Homer foresaw with full diaphaneity and expressed with a beauty frankly unequaled, unraveling the erotic humus of human physis, that from then and still that from now.

This article highlights the close link between history and politics in Aristotelian political philosophy, and shows how Aristotle, as part of his method, used his own investigation on history and politics to uphold his proposal of an ideal politeia, in which to include the middle class as an indispensable factor of stability. He thereby overcame both the Platonic conception of war, and the predominance of civil wars in the Greek world. For Aristotle friendship (filid) was the basis of political life.
