El modelo de enseñanza no presencial cada vez está más extendido en la formación universitaria, incluyendo a las universidades tradicionalmente orientadas a la enseñanza presencial, con independencia de si estas son públicas o privadas. Muchas universidades se han creado ya con un modelo educativo orientado hacia la no presencialidad y, en los últimos años, volcado en una educación 100% online. En dichos casos, la estructura organizativa y docente de la universidad se orienta a esta forma de impartir docente, pero cuando una universidad de carácter presencial, con su propio dinámica e idiosincrasia, decide incorporar el modelo no presencial en su catálogo de titulaciones oficiales no puede duplicar sus estructuras organizativas y debe compaginar sus procedimientos tradicionales con los nuevos requerimientos propios de la oferta no presencial. Esta integración, si se desea tener éxito, debe hacerse desde una perspectiva estratégica que vaya desde el equipo de gobierno al resto de la academia, incluyendo al profesorado, estudiantes y personal de servicio. En este artículo se presenta un modelo de referencia que cada universidad presencial puede adaptar a sus necesidades y a su estratégica particular sobre cómo entiende y quiere abordar la docencia no presencial ; The non-attendance education model is increasingly widespread in university education, including universities traditionally oriented towards face-to-face teaching, regardless of whether they are public or private. Many universities have already been funded with an educational model oriented towards non-attendance and, in recent years, turned to 100% online education. In these cases, the organizational and faculty structure of the university is oriented towards this form of teaching. however, when a face-to-face university, with its dynamics and idiosyncrasies, decides to incorporate the non-face-to-face model into its catalogue of official degrees, it cannot duplicate its organizational structures. It must combine its traditional procedures with the new requirements of the non-face-to-face offer. This integration, if it is to be successful, must be done from a strategic perspective that goes from the government team to the rest of the academy, including the teaching staff, students and service personnel. We present TACCLE3 – Coding European Project (Ref. 2015-1-BE02-KA201-012307) in the XVIII International Symposium on Computers and Education – SIIE 2016, held within the V Congreso Nacional de Informática – CEDI 2016 in the University of Salamanca, Spain, September 14th – 16th, 2016. Taccle3 is a European Union Erasmus+ KA2 Programme project that supports primary school staff and others who are teaching computing to 4-14 year olds. It started at September 2015 and will end at August 2017. This is the presentation of the paper entitled "A survey of resources for introducing coding into schools" in the TEEM 2016 International Conference held in Salamanca (Spain) in November 2-4, 2016. Within TACCLE 3 – Coding European Union Erasmus+ KA2 Programme project, a review and evaluation of a set of resources that can contribute to teaching programming to younger children has made. This paper presents a survey of this review including the most outstanding products in order to help teachers to introduce programming in pre-university studies.

Los avances en la materia aún son incipientes y el triángulo ciencia abierta, co-creación del conocimiento e innovación abierta se presenta como una oportunidad de generar un aporte original, desde la investigación, para la teoría y las prácticas educativas abiertas. En el estudio se analizaron los artículos que abordan este triángulo, con el fin de identificar los contextos y retos que se presentan en la innovación y en la co-creación de conocimiento para impulsar la ciencia abierta. El método fue una revisión sistemática de literatura (SLR) de 168 artículos publicados en acceso abierto, de enero 2014 a mayo 2017, en las bases de datos Web of Science y Scopus. La validación se dio con los criterios de la Universidad de York: inclusión y exclusión, pertinencia, evaluación de calidad / validez de los estudios y descripción de datos. Los hallazgos reflejan que los contextos de mayor publicación sobre el tema son los de Estados Unidos y Brasil, en los sectores empresariales y académicos (seguido de cerca por el sector social) y los retos se abren en las posibilidades de innovación, apertura e investigación. Se concluye que el contexto y las prácticas de colaboración son elementos sustanciales para la innovación y la ciencia abierta ; Open science, as a common good, opens possibilities for the development of nations, through innovations and collaborative constructions, which help to democratize knowledge. Advances in this area are still emerging, and the open science, co-creation of knowledge and open innovation triangle, is presented as an opportunity to generate an original contribution from research to open educational theory and practices. The study analyzed the articles that addressed this triangle, in order to identify the contexts and challenges that arise in open innovation and the co-creation of knowledge to promote open science. The method was a systematic literature review (SLR) of 168 articles published in open access format, from January 2014 to May 2017 in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. In the validation process, the York University criteria were used: inclusion and exclusion, relevance of the pertinent studies, evaluation of the quality / validity of included studies and description of data / basic studies. The findings showed that the most-widely publicized contexts were in the United States and Brazil, in the business and academic sectors (closely followed by the social sector), and the challenges were open to innovation, opening and research. The research concludes that the context and practices of collaboration are substantial elements for innovation and open science
La Unión Europea y países asociados están trabajando en proyectos europeos que aportan información relevante sobre las metodologías utilizadas a nivel educativo a través de diferentes programas, incluido el Programa Erasmus+. Estos proyectos son la fuente de inspiración para la investigación que se está realizando de cara a obtener una guía metodológica para el uso exitoso de las tecnologías digitales en la educación en la mejora del aprendizaje. Este artículo se centra en cómo se ha abordado la investigación, el análisis de proyectos catalogados como buena práctica o experiencia de éxito relacionados con eLearning y/o TIC, los avances en el análisis de datos realizado hasta el momento, con los principales resultados obtenidos en el proceso de mapeo de proyectos y desarrollo y aplicación de una encuesta, que dan pistas sobre aspectos más relevantes de los proyectos revisados ; The European Union and associated countries are working on European projects that provide relevant information on the methodologies used at the educational level through different programs, including the Erasmus+ Program. These projects are the source of inspiration for the research that is being carried out to obtain a methodological guide for the successful use of digital technologies in education to improve learning. This article focuses on how the research has been approached, the analysis of projects classified as good practice or success stories related to eLearning and/or ICT, the advances in data analysis carried out so far with the main results obtained in the project mapping process and the development and application of a survey, which give clues about the most relevant aspects of the projects reviewed
Una buena práctica de gestión y política universitaria es aquella que se consolida en el tiempo, que mejora de forma continua a partir de lo ya realizado, que es impulsada por los diferentes equipos rectorales y que tiene un impacto global en el contexto universitario (y fuera de él). Esto es lo ocurrido con los actuales cursos masivos abiertos y en línea, los MOOC (del inglés Massive Open Online Course). Aunque sus principios se asocian al 2008, estos cursos son fruto de una política universitaria que comenzó a principios de los años 80. Es entonces cuando comienza a utilizarse ordenadores en las universidades para la creación de apuntes, antes escritos a mano o con máquina de escribir, y los acetatos usados en clase, recursos de aprendizaje analógicos cuyas leyendas y gráficos eran dibujados "a mano". Pero los gestores universitarios tuvieron una visión más amplia y potenciaron la transformación de los recursos educativos en formato digital para mejorar su gestión, organización y utilización, mediante campañas de concienciación y la financiación de actividades y de recursos tecnológicos. A partir de entonces se abrió un camino repleto de novedades y tendencias en educación, plagado de éxitos y de fracasos, y cuya última manifestación son los MOOC, que han sobrepasado las fronteras de la universidad. En este artículo se dará una visión de la trayectoria de la innovación institucional universitaria que ha conducido a la aparición de los MOOC, se analizará su impacto sobre el modelo universitario y se reflexionará sobre su evolución. AbstractA good management and policy practice at the university is one that is consolidated over time; continuously improves itself on the basis of what has already been done; is promoted by the different government teams; and has a global impact on the university context (and outside of it). This is what has happened with the current Massive Open Online Courses or MOOC. Although its beginning is linked to 2008, these courses are the result of a university policy that began in the early 80's. In that period time computers began to be used in universities to write notes, used to be handwritten and also typed out, or prepare acetates, analogic learning resources with legends and graphics drawn "by hand". However, university managers had a broader vision of converting didactic resources to a digital format to improve their management, organization and use, through awareness campaigns and by financing activities and technological resources. From this moment, a path full of novelties and trends was opened that still runs through the universities, presenting both successes and also failures. The last manifestation lies in the MOOC, which have surpassed the university frontiers. This paper will give an overview of the trajectory of the institutional innovation at the university that has led to the MOOC birth, analysing also its impact over the university model and reflecting about its evolution.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a high impact worldwide. The health crisis has not only had an impact on people's own health and on health systems, but has also affected other areas. In the educational context, the lockdown measures implemented by different governments have challenged the learning ecosystem. In the case of higher education in Spain, with a strong attendance factor in most public universities, face-to-face classes were interrupted after a month in the second term, ending the academic year in the online mode. This change has meant a great effort on the teachers' side to transform the face-to-face teaching into the online approach, which in many cases has meant quite a comprehensive new design of the subject, changing the evaluation process and the methodologies used. This work presents a success case of online assessment developed in the Software Engineering I subject of the Degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Salamanca. The objective is to show how the previous use of active methodologies and the integration of educational technologies in classroom-based teaching facilitates the transformation of assessment to an online or blended approach while maintaining a high degree of student involvement and satisfaction. After presenting a comparison between the face-to-face approach and the adaptation to the online approach, an analysis is made of the learning results and student satisfaction concerning previous academic years. The results show that the change of approach has not reduced the satisfaction results obtained in previous courses. In terms of learning outcomes, there is an overall increase in the grades obtained by students in all assessment items. ; La pandemia de coronavirus ha tenido un alto impacto a nivel mundial. The Semester of Code initiative organised virtual placements for university students around Europe, working on authentic business problems using open source software. The project was welcomed by stakeholders, and many companies and open source foundations became involved. However, the response from students was disappointing. In this paper we examine the reasons for this, discussing the results of the evaluation work carried out. Finally, we consider the implications of our work for student placements and the Knowledge Alliance European Union programme.
