O uso do genograma como recurso expressivo e objeto mediador em grupo de crianças e adolescentes
In: Semina. Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Band 39, Heft 2, S. 197
ISSN: 1679-0383

The Portuguese Literacy Campaigns After the Carnation Revolution (1974-1977)
This article presents a description of the major campaigns of adult literacy in the revolutionary period in Portugal, between the years 1974 and 1977. The campaigns aimed to address the problem of extremely low levels of formal education and high levels of adult illiteracy, and were organized by different movements, from the military to political youth organizations. In all cases, Paulo Freire's theory and methods were an important reference to these initiatives of popular education even if, in some cases, these were clearly top-down approaches, while others advocated a bottom-up perspective. We will start by an analysis of the rationale of these movements based on documents produced at the period and a literature review. Then, retrospective interviews with two women participating in these campaigns are used to illustrate these experiences and their perceived impact on themselves and the adults involved. Not surprisingly, the impact of these literacy campaigns is perceived as significant both for the population, particularly older women, but mainly for the young literacy mediators who seem to have experienced this as a life-changing event. Even though this is a preliminary stage of the research, results suggest the significance of gender inequality and poverty as markers in the lived experience of these campaigns, and the high levels of hope and political mobilization of the young people involved, even with various degrees of ideological commitment.Cet article présente une description de grandes campagnes d'alphabétisation des adultes dans la période révolutionnaire au Portugal, entre les années 1974 et 1977. Off-Training Levels of Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior in Young Athletes: Preliminary Results during a Typical Week
In: Snow active: das Schweizer Schneesportmagazin, Band 6, Heft 4, S. 141
The level of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SED) off-training of young athletes may reveal the quality of recovery from training and highlight health related issues. Thus, the aim was to identify and describe young athletes' PA and SED off-training, according to daily life activities. Eight athletes (15.7 ± 2 years, 1.72 ± 0.6 m height, 62.9 ± 10.2 kg) of a sport talent program wore on their waist a tri-axial accelerometer (ActiGraph® wGT9X-link, Shalimar, FL, USA) at 30 Hz for 15 consecutive days, and reported their schedule. A two-step cluster analysis classified three groups according to sedentary PA and MVPA. The Sedentary (56.9%), presented the highest sedentary PA (mean [CI], 37.37 [36.45–38.29] min/hour); The Hazardous (19.4%) had the lowest values of sedentary and MVPA (10.07 [9.41–10.36] min/hour and 8.67 [7.64–9.70] min/hour, respectively). Balanced (23.7%) had the highest MVPA (28.61 [27.16–30.07] min/hour). Sedentary had the lowest count of home time associated (20%) and higher school (26%) time when compared to the Hazardous (13%). The Balanced showed the highest count of school (61%) and home time (47%). Different profiles for young athletes revealed alarming behavior in the associations with sedentary PA, sitting and SED breaks, which may influence performance and health.

Educational escape rooms in practice: research, experiences, and recommendations
The following e-book was prepared as part of the Erasmus+ UNLOCK project, which has the objective of identifying the use of educational escape rooms (EERs) in higher education environments and examining the role of educators in those activities. The document presents a review of the existing body of academic literature on EERs, while capturing current approaches and practices from across the diverse line of disciplines, and challenges experienced in the adoption of EERs in the (higher) education settings. The literature review provides an overview of the status-quo of the EERs in the higher education sector, followed by UNLOCK project partner country reports (Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Lithuania, Portugal, and Spain) for targeted insights on the adoption of EERs in the local (higher) education contexts. We also present the synthesis report provides a discussion of the major findings, along with emerging themes and recommendations for further EER research and practice. ; Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union
