A debate between two thinkers is reconstructed, the psychiatrist and political activist from Martinique Frantz Fanon and the french psychoanalyst Octave Mannoni. This discussion begins with Prospero and Caliban. Colonization Psychology published by Mannoni in 1950 in which one he develops his perspective about the colonial situation as a result of subjective structures and in which one he describes what he considers to be the superiority complex of Prospero and the dependency or inferiority complex of Caliban. But Fanon, a disciple of the poet and politician also from Martinique Aimé Cêsaire, anwers him in Black Skin, White Masks, in 1952, and even when he values his analysis of subjectivity, he makes a series of criticisms of his description of the colonial situation where he places as causes factors that in reality are effects of it. Years later, in 1966, questioned by the magazine Race due to the objections and comments about his book, Mannoni shows his evolution from his first position on the colonial situation. Finally, we ask ourselves about the current drifts of this debate.

The onto-theo-political paradigm is an investigation that began in 2014. By using the genealogical method, attempts to decide the validity or the disruption of the mentioned paradigm. During 2014 and 2015 an analysis has been made regarding the epochal manifestations of the paradigm in some ancient and medieval texts, until the XVII century. The working hypothesis has been to examine how the onto-theological perspective and its organization had been questioned, particularly from the scientific and political perspective that took place since the Renaissance. Although towards the end of the XIX century the most severe critique to the paradigm took place, especially with Nietzsche and Marx, and it continued with the postmodern proposal; there are remains in the contemporary views of concepts, both universal and geo-cultural, that still havean effect in reality and that posses a onto-theological origin (sovereignty, hope, reconciliation, person, etc.). We can confirm that the genealogical tracking of the onto-theo-political paradigm appears in each of the analyzed philosophers. In ancient times, this paradigm is present in Aristotle´s Metaphysics (for example, in his conception of the unmoved mover), even if it lacks the characteristics of a personal theology. On the opposite side, the critique to the onto-theo-political conjunction is quite explicit in Machiavelli´s The Prince. And, in Hobbes, we can already see how a philosophical civil structure is detached from the onto-theology. Also, an analysis has been made on Baruch Spinoza´s concept of the individual as a wishful power, concept that criticizes the traditional metaphysic paradigm. From this point forward, the objective is to track the paradigm in the contemporary context under the same hypothesis. With that in mind, together with the contribution of XVII century's thinkers (mainly Hobbes and Spinoza), the analysis of contemporary authors will be added, from anontological (Heidegger), critical (Adorno), philosophical-political (Espósito), phenomenological(Marion), and theological (Scannone and Pope Francis) perspective, as well as the ideas that our American philosophers, so critical of the technocratic civilization (Kusch, Mignolo), might add to the inquiry of the onto-theo-political paradigm as a possible model for the comprehension of present times.
In the framework of the international Urban Dynamics project, we have presented the case study: "Spaces of urban resistance to political and criminal violence in Argentine literature and visual arts. Intersections and differences with other manifestations of Latin American art". From cultural studies, we analyze works related not only to the literary world (authors such as Marta Traba, Diamela Eltit, Libertad Demitrópulos, Joshua, Selva Almada, etc.), but also to the visual arts (groups C.A.D.A, Red Conceptualismos del Sur , etc.). The main axes of these works revolve around, on one hand, the memory of violence (political and criminal) and, on the other, the exercise of such violence from and on the body and the word. We have detected the emergence of border identities in this aesthetic-ideological line that propose new perspectives on the aforementioned themes, from a perspective that tries to break with the dogmatic discourses, sense totalizers, proposed by the discourses of hegemonic power. The publication of the first volumes of Notable American Women in 1971 was a watershed event in women's history. By uncovering and documenting the enormous contributions that women had made--previously overlooked or underappreciated--this important reference work changed the way historians thought and wrote about American history. This latest volume brings the project up to date, with entries on almost 500 women whose death dates fall between January 1, 1976, and December 31, 1999. The era they shared coincides with the great expansion of opportunities for women in the twentieth century. You will find here stars of the golden ages of radio, film, dance, and television; scientists and scholars; politicians and entrepreneurs; authors and aviators; civil rights activists and religious leaders; Native American craftspeople and world-renowned artists. Women from a broad spectrum of ethnic, class, political, religious, and sexual identities are all acknowledged. For each subject, Notable American Women offers a substantial interpretive biographical essay by a distinguished authority that integrates the woman's personal life with her professional achievements set in the context of larger historical developments. This volume will be an indispensable reference for students and scholars of women's history and for anyone interested in the rich and varied lives led by distinguished American women.
This research aims to analyze the notion of freedom in Adela Cortina as the foundation of the best possible education. Pedagogies have the means and resources to teach the proper human dispositions. Allowing access to education, to justice, to similar economic opportunities, guarantees equality as a social capacity; It is thus that solidarity is conformed as self-realization before others. This is served by respect, tolerance for intercultural dialogue to take place as an ability to settle differences; thus, expressing democratic societies as human confluence. It is a bibliographic study of a rationalist nature. Article 13 of the American Convention was designed to provide robust guarantees for the freedom of thought and expression. Early Inter-American case law conceived freedom of speech as a primary means to control state power and provided strong protection to varied expression. This included ideas and information considered "offensive, shocking, unsettling or disturbing for the state or to any sector of the population." In fact, the Court was the first international tribunal to recognize the right to access to state-held information as part of the protection of freedom of expression.
In this investigation we propose to do a critique of the person's concept from Simone Weil's perspective, in order to point out the inadequacy of this category to found a theory of the consistent subject with contemporary ethically political perspectives after the totalitarianisms of the 10th century. With the aim to raise the limits of a substantiality anthropology crossed by the legality, we will trace genealogically the origins of this notion in the Christian theology and in the Roman law. For it we study the Roman laws that realized of the patricide, and the inheritance, as passages of the things to the notion of legal person. Also, we work with the theological perspective, especially the Augustinian Foundation and his later reformulations of the Trinitarian concept of a hypostatized relation. The aim is to continue then with the secularization product of the Cartesian project of the notion of individual and his contemporary problematization. Besides the thinker Simone Weil, we were working authors who propose speeches with which other forms part of not substantiated subjetivation, between them we can mention Soren Kierkegaard and Keiji Nishitani. During the first year of work, an approximation from the absolute attention proposed by Weil as a form of detachment of me allowed us the joint with one an ethic that alone from the faint of itself it can annul the distance between me and you. An approximation from the perspective of Kierkegaard allowed us to acknowledge a subjectivity that does not base the faith on the historical self-consciousness, but in the possibility that every man has, thanks to the freedom, of becoming contemporary of the historical event that has founded the faith while decision. This allowed us to think of ethics not tied to the modernity conceived as rational progress. Finally, an approximation from the oriental traditions taken off of the substantial categorizations, allowed us to disarm completely the distinction between subject and object and to introduce notions, as vacuity and lighting, which allow us to acknowledge a certain subtraction that articulates the ethics with the emptiness and with a third party that is not a person not impersonally. In this stage, one is employed at the production of these notions of person, individual and subject and his extension to other planes, fundamentally that of animality and nature.
